Hello everyone

I am so sleepy...I always say that in the morning.

Yesterday I went to Walmart to buy stuff to weatherize my windows.  Yep...I am weatherizing my home.  So I have a project Saturday.  BUT!!!  I also bought a new coat.  I saw these winter coats on this rack for $40.  I tried it on and it was really warm.  It's just like a Columbia coat...at a fraction of the cost.  The best thing was when I got to the cashier it rang up at $65.  I told them it was on a rack for $40.  Since the rack was close to the register I showed the lady and sure enough I was right.  I got the coat for $40!!!!

I have nothing going on today but work.

What going on with you guys???

Have a great day.  Bye

Good almost-afternoon Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Not too much exciting happening for me today.  Just work, then home.  Unless I decide to do some grocery shopping.  See!  I told you it was exciting!

The coat sounds great Crystal, is it quilted/padded?  I would love a new winter coat.

Everyone have a super day!

Tell someone that you love them!

It one of those coats that is actually 2 coats.  The outer coat is very thick and heavy and water resistant.  The inner jacket is a soft fleece.  It can be worn together or separately.  I think it will be very warm.

Hello to all! I am having a great day. I have found at least one group of surgeons that will take my insurance for gastric bypass.

I have had a very busy day. Work, parent teacher conference and 2 meetings tonight. On the run all the time.

Evening all. I came home from work, made and ate a snack, sat in my chair with a bunch of stupid catalogs that come in the mail at this time of year and then fell fast asleep while the news was on.

I have had an issue with edema for years (hereditary and other issues) and had to get prescription hose (paid by insurance, supposedly) to wear. They are long (thigh length) and hot under my uniform slacks. It sucks. that was my day dealing with putting them on (you get special gloves to pull them up) and wearing them.

Gonna make some popcorn in a short while for us to share and then I will be looking through my beading catalog before nitey nite time.

Christine- I'm sorry to hear about the ordeal of the stockings.  It might be nice to stay warm in the winter...but awful in the summer.  I am wondering why you need special gloves to put them on???

The doc will revisit the need to wear them past 6 months. They are not a cure. The only cure is a laser treatment to kill the veins in the groin that are causing the insufficiency for the return of the blood flow. Without the return of the flow the edema happen. I have an appt. on the 29th for my yearly physical with him - we will revisit it at that time!

With the gloves imagine the old fashioned Platex gloves to wash dishes with but these are heavier and have pyramid shaped nubs on the fingers and palms. That is to help you coax the material up your skin and past your knees. You do not scrunch the nylon up in your hands and put it over your feet, past the ankles, calves, knees and above. These are compression hose and I was ordered some of the highest compression that there is. If you scrunch them up it causes more compression and acts like a huge rubber band around your foot or ankle. You leave the material of sock out, pull on your foot and over and beyond. Not that easy, therefore the gloves. You can only pull up so far and the gloves when you have them on and use them it moves the material up easier, supposedly. I was given great training at the store (privately) but the lady does it all the time. Here is a website that has a picture of them. You need to enlarge the picture to see the nubs. http://www.discountsurgical.com/details.asp?productid=13914 fine in theory . . .
