Good morning Steven and the rest of Illinois!
Congrats on your 8 months Steven....you are doing great and they will certainly be surprised!
I am working and looking for ideas to help me make the most of what is in my garden. I have mostly herbs and hot peppers. I need to visit Valli Produce for mangos to make the hot sauce that everyone (but me) loves. I think this weekend will be a great time to get things squared away. I am planning on freezing the herbs so I will have freshness as long as they last.

Stephen, Congrats. Your family will be blown away, especially if they have not seen you in quite a while! It'll be fun for you!
Crystal, we get the 4 day weekend @ T-giving, too. I love it, being in a smaller business. When I was in banking, if I wanted the day after T-giving, I had to take a vaca day, since banks aren't closed the Friday after. Chloe and I have turned Black Friday shopping into kind of our "thing" . II mentioned to her last weekend the time was coming up and hopefully she would be at my house for the weekend so we could go. She clapped and said "goody". I know, though, you have all your shopping almost done! LOL.
Dawn, I have never grown herbs...think I should try abut haven't gotten that ambitious or brave! I am, however getting more tomatoes and grape tomatoes from my plants right now than I have all summer. I'm sure the frost will soon stop that harvest!! I don't make/or freeze any of it. I really need to do a quick salsa recipe and see how that comes out!
Nothing exciting here. Need to go work out tonight. I'm still not "loving" it, but once I get there, I guess it's ok....it's just getting there!

Good Evening Everyone!
I am coming out of hiding. I worked the last 2 days and am pooped and have an awful headache when I come home. So I haven't felt like doing much. Today was a little better. Tomorrow I have my MRI. With my luck it will not show a darn thing and I still wont know why I am dizzy. Sigh.
Beemer has an appointment to get groomed tomorrow. I am tempted to get him a lion cut. They cut the fur so that he would resemble a lion. But I think that may be a little too drastic for our first grooming session. I just want all of this hair thinned out! He is shedding terribly!
Steven, you are going to have fun shocking your whole family at Thanksgiving! What fun! You have done so well. Enjoy the visit!
Crystal, I know the feeling of not wanting to do anything. I am there all the time. I blame getting old. Thanksgiving will be great for some time off. Enjoy yourself!
Dawn, your herbs sound great! Freezing is a great way to preserve them. You will be able to enjoy them throughout the winter.

Hello everyone,
I hadn't forgotten about you all. Just been busy. Still working on weight loss, been kinda slow, hadn't seen the scale move in last 2 weeks. Trying not to get discouraged and remind myself that it is normal. I'm still doing my eliptical machine and walking 4 miles a day on my days off. Down time at work i try to get walks in also. Although somedays I feel like i'm on my feet all day, but its not the same.
had a nice weekend, bought a new to me car. Got a 2010 Chevy Cobalt 2 door. Is a cute car, different for me, i'm used to my 4 door Impala. But I was going for great gas mileage so this works.
Nothing else to new, my daughter driving me nuts, but thats not new. She just growing up to fast for me. 18 is right around the corner for her.
