Hello everyone

I am at work...Booo!!!!

I had a nice Sunday.  I saw Amanda's concert.  She wasn't feeling well so we didn't do anything afterwards.  She just wanted to go home and rest.

I now have health insurance!!!  Woohoo!!!  I have picked out a doctor based on a recommendation from some co-workers.  So hopefully he's a good doctor.  I know this sounds weird but I can tell from his picture that he's an obese man and in a way that comforts me.  Because I won't be judged for being overweight.  I think a lot of naturally skinny people just don't understand the struggles we have with food and weight.  I know when I was a teen ager (with a teens metabolism) I was skinny (too skinny I was 5'9" and 120lbs) I ate what I want junk food and all and stayed thin.  I wasn't athletic either.  I remember thinking how fat people got so fat.  They must eat like pigs...because I based my thinking on my own experiences....like not gaining weight from fries and cookies.  I was too young to realize not everyone is the same as me.

What are you guys doing today....me just work.
Well I better get going.  I hope you all have a great day.  Bye.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am back at work and I agree-----BOOOOO!!!!

We had a very relaxing weekend.  Todd and I recognized 19 years of marriage (on top of the 6 dating, we have been together 25 years).  I never thought I would EVER spend that much time with one person.  Not only that, but I still love him every day and look forward to another 25 or so years with him.  It is nice to finally have stability after a childhood of instability and trauma.

We were very lazy.......we stayed in bed most of Saturday watching movies until we had to get up for a neighbor child's birthday party.  Yesterday we were still lazy but DID manage to go out to eat with the kids.  I did hardly any housework!  That will have to be rectified tonight but it was a nice break.

I can relate to the great teen metabolizm.  I lived my teen years on Snicker's bars, Doritos and soda.  I barely weighed 100 lbs at 5' 2".  Then, I had Amber and gained 80 lbs. and the metabolism was shot from there on out.  I still struggle every day.

Well.....gotta get back at it!

Everyone have a wonderful day!

Tell someone that you love them!

OMG...I gained 80lbs too!!!  We are just too similar.  We were both teenagers as well.  I really thought it was going to be soooo easy to lose the weight.  I don't know what I was thinking...but I will blame that on the fact I was only 16.

'Tis Monday, sigh.

Have lots going today so the work day should go fast as it already has.

Need to get a few household things done after work if my replacement phone is not delivered. The slide out tray on the one I have now sticks. Verizon ordered me a new one. I will take it in and have them switch them out after work if it arrives before I get home. I have been having fun finding free apps. I found a recipe one on Saturday.

Good Morning Crystal and IL!

Yes, another Monday!  I can identify with both of you guys, Dawn and Crystal.  I am 5'7 and was thin during HS.  Just started gaining wt little by little and WHOA!  LOL.  Well, working on doing something about that and hope to continue to keep it positive!

Had a busy weekend with Chloe.  We went to the Sleepy Hollow thing and it was SO much fun.  She had a great time, so I was happy for that.  The ending was a ride in a wagon through the dark woods as the headlness horseman chased Icabod Crane on his horse (with real horses, of course).  It was very dramatic!!

We went on the haunted hayride after that....I thought it was kinda lame...Chloe thought it was AWESOME, so attribute that to the fact it was the first one she has ever been on!  LOL.

We were both exhausted Saaturday and kinda rested around.  Of course she had homework to do, so she worked on that.  I vegged and took a nap!

Not much else going on!  Have a great day.  georgie

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am home from work -- no Monday blues for me lol.  Actually I got what I think is a virus.  I started getting dizzy on Saturday and yesterday when I went grocery shopping I thought I would not be able to finish as I got really dizzy in the store.  I was still dizzy when I first awoke this morning so I called in sick.  I am feeling a little better now.  Hope it passes soon

Crystal, I am glad you found a doctor.  I hope you like him.  You found some wonderful bargains over the weekend!  Glad you got to go to Amanda's concert.  That is another advantage of living near her -- getting to do things like that and shopping together.

Chris, I am sorry your church is changing directions.  Mine did too, and I quit going to it.  I hate that.  I havent found a new church home yet, but still looking.  I finally decided that I just wasn't getting what I needed from the church.  I hope you get your phone part in quickly.  '

Dawn, Happy Anniversary.  It is always so nice to hear when someone is happy with their mate.  25 years together is awsome!  (even if that does include the dating years)

Georgie,
I am glad you and Chloe had a great weekend.  The sleepy hollow thing sounds like it was done well.  It is nice when you can find quality events like that.  And it is fun to share them with your grandchildren!

Everyone have a great day!!

Hi everyone :)  I haven't posted in a while, I know.  It's been quite a struggle medically for me lately.  They are still trying to stablize all my medications for my migraines (which are now causing seizures!) and dealing with the rheumatoid arthritis.  Recently found out I have neuropathy in my hands and feet.  I had an MRI on Friday and a 2 hour glucose tolerence test (which I had a terrible reaction to!  I struggled to not puke it up and ended up having to lay down for the whole 2 hours in a dark room!).  Also found out I have the beginning stages of cervical cancer so we are monitoring the cell changes right now.  Kind of scary.

Good news is I am down to 158 pounds :)  I posted some new pics on my profile.  I also posted some videos on my blog www.geekmomblog.com I talked about body image mostly and how I wasn't really prepared to feel the way I do about myself at 2 years out.  Does anyone else have those kinds of problems?
www.geekmomblog.com -My Mom blog were I talk about my journey through weight loss & weight loss surgery, my kids, cupcakes, Star Wars & pretty much everything!
