Tuesday Roll Call
Good Morning,
It is looking to be another warm, sunny day, but fall is returning. Have you been out to see the trees yet? Autumn is putting on a really nice show this year.
I will be heading for work about 7 today. I won't be getting home until after 6. So what else is new?
Dawn and Christine, Our nezt cruise is on Carnival. We have been going on Norwegian. That is super. Now you both have me wondering.
Don, if you are reading this, you are now a loser. How does that feel?
Have a great day, get out and enjoy at least a bit of it. I will taking my bento box outside at lunch time. It is packed with tuna salad, some nut crackers and some grapes.
Huggers,
LISA
About time for me to get ready for work and then hop on my bike and ride there. What I really would like to do is read my book The Help. I was able to read it to about the half way point over the weekend. I usually do not have time to sit while here at home but I did over this last weekend when we were back in our hotel room.
I have been loving my new phone. I am not frustrated using it much anymore. While we were near Janesville we stopped at a Verizon store and I had a few questions answered and then I played with it a lot over the weekend and last night. The girl at the store said by the time I have had it 2 weeks I will be cruising around the screens like crazy - almost there! I had said in the past that I did not need to be so "connected" away from home but some of the tools available have already come in handy and will be worth the cost of the extra data package.

Yes, mother nature has been good to us this year, the fall colors are brilliant. Yesterday took the Harley out for a ride along the IL river from hennipin to lacon, then on to spring bay, was a lovely ride, my husband joined me for the trip home and i got to ride on back and enjoy the scenery for the remainer of the trip. It was dark when we headed back, we stopped to visit friends in Metamora, needless to say, the temp drops pretty fast when the sun goes down, was a very chilly ride.
Are you enjoying "the help" ? Let me know, I usually don't buy books anymnore, i used to use teh library, but since i downloaded the kindle app on my phone, i get all kinds of boooks there for free.
With your new phone you can do that also, its a free app. you will love your new phone, i couldn't live without mine. And to think 10 years ago we considered ourselves lucky to have just a regular cell phone or car phone. times have changed
The book is not available as a free download-yet. I do not think that I would get it that way anyways. I do have access to other free books but the titles do not interest me.
My husband worked in the cell phone industry (Bell System-AT&T-Lucent-TycoAlcatel Lucent etc) when they first came out. We were one of the first people to have a hardwired phone in our car. It was not uncommon for him and the team he worked with to be on both coasts for business in the course of a week. They travelled with a team phone. Many times the cell provider would shut down their phone because they were using it on both coasts in the same day. The CO thought it was stolen.

Everything has gone OUTSTANDING! Surgery go stated about 11:30 ET. Don't even recall getting a tiny bit sleepy and BOOM, out went the lights. Doc fixed a small hiatial hernia, checked the oil, and drained the fluid. :-)
She stopped by this morning and also told me that my prep work made it easy because my liver was shrunk enough that they hardly had to put a retractor on it. She also said I could go home today but prefered I stay the night because of the driving distance...I'll take her advice and stay. Almost ZERO pain also.
Catch you all soon.
I am hoping that Don is doing well and recovering nicely. The exciting part of the journey now begins for him.
Kristie----CONGRATULATIONS on the jenas. I only DREAM of a size 12!
I was one of the unfortunate ones whose weight loss stopped abruptly at 90 lbs. total and never another ounce no matter what. I have gained a few of those back and am hoping to at least lose back to my lowest, which was still 40 lbs. higher than "normal" on the BMI chart. I STILL would do it again and am healthier than I was before surgery.
Interesting about Christine's comments about Carnival. I was wondering what other lines would be like. I still think we will try an all-inclusive next time.
Working today and Wally World at lunch for TP. I live such an exciting life!
The knot in my back/neck/shoulder is a bit better today. I layed on a heating pad last night. Hopefully, it will be gone soon. It is probably from sleeping on the air mattress in the tent, but if so, it is worth it to make such great memories with Riley.
Everyone enjoy this wonderful day!
