Friday Roll Call

GOOD MORNING ILLINOIS!!!!!

I am all packed (probably still too much, but I did put lots back) and ready to rock!  Todd is picking me up from work about 3:45 and we are on our way!!!!!  Staying close to the airport tonight so we don't have to get up too early tomorrow.  Got a great stay and park rate.  Sometimes, it really IS helpful to plan ahead.  I booked this almost 9 months ago and got a room and up to 14 days of parking for $69.00!

This time tomorrow, I will be at O'Hare!  Am I excited??????

I will check in from the hotel if I have time, but will be on the boat all next week.  You all BEHAVE while I am away!

Hello everyone

Yeah!!! Dawn you have lots of fun and relax and be lazy.

I am soooo glad it's Friday.  Today after work I am meeting Amanda and we are going bridesmaids dress shopping.  One of her best friends is getting married in January.  So we are going to Davids and then out to eat!!!  After that I will go grocery shopping.

Yesterday at Jasper's appointment the doctor said he has a sinus infection.  So I have antibiotics and some other stuff I have to give him.  I just mix it in his food and he should be fine in 2 weeks.  We shall see. 

I started putting my Fall/Halloween decorations up in my yard.  I am going to have fun with decorating this Christmas.  I have never had a yard to decorate!!!!

Well I go to get going.  I hope the day goes by super fast.  See ya later.

Got a call from St. Vincent on final results of blood work.  Except for a thyroid issue that will need to be addressed, it all looked pretty good.  The thyroid thing won't delay scheduling so I'm just waiting for a call.

After months of reading all of your posts, I finally decided it was time to introduce myself! I'm Katie, had my Realize Band placed 1/11/11 and I'm loving life so far! I hope all of you have a great weekend, my husband and I are about to take our 4 year old shopping and then to see the Lion King while it's still in theaters!

We have the same doctor.  I love Dr Lahmann, he is soooo nice.  He has a way of not making you feel bad when you aren't losing but when you are doing well he really praises you and makes you feel good about yourself.  I don't really like Cherish though.  she comes off kind of unfriendly.

I hope you hop on here every day so we can get to know you.  Have a great time with your family.

I really love Dr. Lahmann too, he is SO sweet!  I just saw him today actually, and when I walked in he said "hey, look at you!" haha he really does make me feel wonderful about everything, even the one weigh in I had where I gained a few lbs, he didn't point fingers or anything, I really feel so blessed to have had him as my surgeon and for my continuing care.  I also think Cherrish can come across as a little unfriendly, however I owe a lot to her, having struggled through denial with insurance etc she really was my go-to resource to get the approval I needed.  I love Toni at the front desk, she is always so helpful and friendly! 

I'd love to get to know all of you as well, I finally feel like this is "really" happening for me, I've been struggling with my weight since I was a kid.  I'm 5'2'', and the lowest weight I can remember being as an adult was 183, RIGHT before I got pregnant!  My highest pregnancy weight was 243 the day I delivered my daughter in 2007, and I tipped the scales at 249 when I got the call that my refferal to Dr. Lahmann was approved in Oct. 2010!  Had surgery Jan. 11, and I'm down nearly 52 lbs now, about half way to my goal and only a measly 15lbs from my pre-baby weight!  I've read a few of the things you've posted about your struggles too, the band has certainly been a learning process for me as well.  A number of times I've questioned whether I should have gone with RNY instead of the band, but at this point I'm very happy with the way things are going.  I'm excited to get to know all of you as well, and I'll go dig up some pictures to put on here!

 Good Evening Everyone!

It is Friday!    Dawn is on her way to NOLA and cruising,  Don passed his pre op tests, and Jasper has meds so he can get well.  All is well in Illini land.  

I went to work this morning and we were really slow.  So I put in for time off and low and behold I got to come home at 10!  I cam home and then went grocery shopping.  About mid afternoon I realized that I did not get home with the birthday card that I had picked up for my Aunt's birthday so back out I went to Target.  I killed over an hour there.  Now I am home for 3 days.  I took Monday off cause it is my birthday and I felt I deserved to be off -- so there!  

Dawn, you have a super time on your trip!  Have fun and Enjoy!  

Crystal, I hope Jasper is taking his medicine like a good boy.  Have fun with Amanda.  Also enjoy decorating your house.  I love doing that as a homeowner!

Don, it sounds like you got a lot done yesterday.  They sure gave you enough tests!  Now the hard part -- hurry up and wait!
