Thursday Roll Call
Good LATE morning Illinois!
I guess I am first, but not much to say.
I stopped to clean the theater last night and only one kid and a parent showed up to help. It took the 3 of us an hour and a half and some of the chores did not get done. I might do them tonight when I stop by or the extras will wait until next week.
I think I will try to go to the preveiw tonight even though it will keep my up past my usual bedtime. The set looks really cool and I am intrigued.
Besides working all day not too much going on. I seasoned a whole chicken with garlic, lemon and fresh rosemary and put it in the fridge for Liv to pop into the oven when she gets home. The boys have Scouts so it will be a quick dinner.
Everyone have a wonderful day!

Hello everyone
I am at work and I am bored...that's not to say I don't have enough to do...I just don't like accounting. No matter where you go it's the same work, just different people. If I was married or had another source if income I would try a different career. Unfortunately, all of my experience is in accounting and if I want to make decent money I have to stay in accounting. I need to win the lottery.
I got more gardening done yesterday. Just a little to do today. Then I have this area I want to work on for next spring. I would like to plant a veggie garden there but I am afraid the soil quality won't allow for that. When I say soil quality I mean full of rocks and debris (like cigarettes). I just don't think anything will grow there. I guess I can try. What should I do now to get it ready for the Spring???
I am all stuffy. I think it's allergies because the stuffiness comes and goes and I keep sneezing. I don't usually have them this bad but I think because where I live just outside the city limits, I am surrounded by miles and miles of farm land there's a lot more in the air to irritate my allergies. I think that's why I am feeling tired too.
Today I am going to start the shelving. I figure if I put one shelf together a day it won't seem like as much work. I need to get that room in order.
Well I better get going. See ya later gator...bye

Crystal, consider using large planter containers for veggies or Square Foot Gardening where you build a box or get a premade one from a garden center. You add the soil mix on top of a weed barrier. You will then not have to worry about the quality of soil. Tomatoes and most plants only need 4-6 inches of soil to grow in. Consider buying the book titled All New Square Foot Gardening by Mel Barthlomew. He also has an older one that is a little more in depth. Go to Amazon and search for square foot gardening and you will find his books. He does advocate a special soil mix that you buy, compost, vermiculite and the third escapes me at the moment. Vermiculite is a little hard to find but you can find it. My neighbor turned me onto the method and it works. I did not go with the soil mix because of the cost and I had all the dirt from my other containers already. If you go with the soil mix he recommends your dirt never clumps.
Here is an article from U of I Extension: http://urbanext.illinois.edu/gardenerscorner/issue_06/special_04_10.cfm copy and paste it into your browser.
I highly recommend the books also because it tells about how many seeds or plants to put in each square. I got mine via Home Depot's website. Some items have free shipping or you can order it to your local store and just pick it up. The raised beds I have you can only buy on line.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Wow, what a day! Anything related to technology did not work for me today. I am almost ready to crawl back into the dark ages and cry "uncle" but am too adicted to technology to do so. sigh. At work today our lovely new system woul not allow me to add a customer. I tried for over an hour and it was a no go. My supervisor went into the old system and added the custome in less than a minute. GRRRRR! Plus I am faster than the computer on the new system and patience was never one of my virtues! So I have to learn to mellow out and watch the computer play while I twiddle my thumbs.![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/atwitsend.gif)
Then I get home and I do not have phone or internet. I call AT& T again -- they hung up on me last night and spent another half hour getting no where. After PT I called their retention department and finally got someone who cared about a customer that has been loyal for 40 years. It took awhile but I got a repair scheduled for tomorrow, a new modem and router free of charge, reduced rates on my phone bill and a contact name, phone number and email of how to contact him again. PLUS I learned how to by pass their computer answering system!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/jump.gif)
Dawn, that is rotten that no one showed up to help last night! They must expect the magic fairies to do everything. Unfortunately that fairy has the name of Dawn.
My niece's shop is in the French Quarter. It is called the Voluptuous Vixen. She specializes in plus size clothing from a size 14 and up. Her address is 818 Chartres St. The website is http://www.TheVoluptuousVixen.com
Crystal, I am sorry you are so stuffed up. I think this year's allergy season is downright nasty. I have had a runny nose for several weeks now. It drips like a faucet. As for your flower bed, you can do a soil sample and take it in to the Extension Office locally and have it sampled. What I did when I established new beds here was to mix finely ground bark into the soil. I raked out the rocks and added the bark and kept mixing it into the soil. By the next spring, my dirt was wonderful! The bark adds nurtirents to the soil.
Christine, it sounds like you are in project/activity overload! Make sure you dont overdo it. It is great to have these activities as long as you dont kill yourself doing them!

Good evening,
I survived my first week back to work. I am hoping it gets better, since I really like my job. Two days this week we actually finished with clients before 4:30. That is our official closing time, but we in the field, only take clients from 8 until 3.
I have no plans for this weekend. :) So, housekeeping may get done.
