Hello everyone

Well today will be my first day back in the gym.  I tell you I really don't feel like going.  It doesn't take much to get lazy.  I am all packed and ready to go and I will have to make myself go because I am feeling quite lazy.

I got my washer and dryer yesterday....yeah!!!!  I finished part of my garden.  I stilll have more to go...it's a lot of work getting the yard ready for flowers.

My daughter and SIL came over yesterday for dinner and we ate out on the patio.  It was very nice.

I can't wait till this weekend....we get a 3 day weekend!!!

Well I hope everyone has a great Monday (if that's possible).  Bye

I love new appliances also!

Morning all. Crystal, you will feel so good when you get back to the gym. Sounds like the outside working is coming along and you also got to enjoy time with Amanda and the SIL.

Not much going on for me. I want to finish a necklace when I get home. It is a design that I quasi copied off of one that I bought in Galena but I have different beads and the amount of strings. I could really get into making jewelry as a part time job. After that it will be lounging around and watching reruns of Kate +8 and then the new one. Lord, that lady is a piece of work. Somewhere in there I will read some of my The Help book. It is so good but slow going because it is written in the first person of one of the black ladies and their southern "talk".

Christine-  I agree with the book.  I'm reading the help too.  It's interesting book but it really hasn't sucked me in yet.  Sometimes it can take a book several chapters before I get sucked in.

That Kate really is a piece of work.  I used to feel so sorry for her husband....she just hen-pecked him to death.   But he is a jerk to.  Now she just seems to be more interested image.  I really liked the episodes from the beginning of the series.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I am back at work and hoping for a good day.  The family members who were causing lots of grief are now gone.  We are having a meeting with the rest of the staff to lay down some ground rules and discuss what is expected of employees.  It is really too bad that this has to be done, but I guess these people are not responsible adults and need to be told how to behave.

We are going to try to take the tact of a discussion, asking for positive, productive dialog.  We will see.

I made some really good stuffed jalepenos for a party on Saturday and I will post the "recipe" in a bit.  The filling is very protein rich and I like to heat it and eat it on its own.  The cooking cools down the heat of the peppers very nicely and that is good for me since I don't really enjoy spicy foods.

Yeasterday, Amber and Riley came out and we loaded up the grill with enought food for 2-4 days.  YUMMY!

Looking forward to the 3 day weekend as it is always a very busy one for us.  Monday are the Annual Labor Day Lawn Tractor Puls in our driveway.

Everyone have a lovely day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning IL friends.

Wow, it's time for me to have my 1 year labs. I've got the exhaustive list and will have them drawn tomorrow morning - all fasting labs.

The year flew by. They say with revisions the weight comes off more slowly. I'm okay with 51 pounds since I have been carb'ing it too much. I am getting that under control now. I will get the rest of the weight off this year and look forward to year 2 and a chance to go to the surgeon's office in San Francisco next September as my work conference will be there. I loved San Francisco and at least this time, I will have the opportunity to do some sightseeing and at goal.

Crystal, happy to hear that you got your new washer and dryer. I was thinking that it wasn't going to happen yesterday. How nice for you. New home and new job. That's great!

Well, back to work for me. I had a great breakfast this morning - egg omelet with Boca crumbles, cheddar cheese shredded, roasted onion and red pepper made with butter. Yummy!!

I'm getting myself back into the DS eating mode. It's wonderful and when I eat like I am supposed to - no gas or BM issues. YAY!!!

I had a great workout yesterday as well. I am looking forward to going to Dallas in September for my work conference. Lots of good protein choices!

Wishing everyone a good day.

Hugs,
Lucy
