Wednesday Roll Call
Revision on 04/19/13
Good Morning Illinois,
I got to Rock Falls yesterday morning, finally. Within 20 miles of home, we hit heavy rain, that stayed with us all the way. Then about 2, the rain stopped and the sun came out. So, we had a good trip home. We were supose to get computer training, but the State of Illinois hasn;t released the new program yet. We start with it next thursday.
I had a great sleep last night. I was in bed asleep by 11, and didn't wake up until 6.
Today, not sure what is going on, yet.
Have a great day,
Huggers,
LISA
Good moring Lisa and the rest of Illinois!
I am working today and in a great mood! Not sure why, but I'll take it!
The sun is shining and Liv started school this morning. My last child in school......I think I will have an empty nest before I know it. Todd and I were actually talking about that the other day.....how different it will be.
I took chicken out for dinner and am going to try a Thai dish. I can't remember if I posted the recipe. I will go back and try to look, otherwise, if it is good, I will post it again. Forgive me if it is a repeat. I am also going to post the Zucchini Spinach Gratin recipe I made last week. It is YUMMY!
Not much else happening here!
Everyone have a spectacular day!

I think the biggest difference was I wasn't as busy anymore. I never realized how much of my time was spent hauling Amanda around or going to one of her school functions or concerts. When she started to work she needed my car and I had to rush home from work to give her the car...it was sort of like a relay race. Then it all stopped...I actually like that part of it. I don't miss that at all. The part I didn't like was coming home from work and not being able to talk to each other about our days. Since it was just the two of us we would just sit and talk about our day. We would talk on the phone but it's just not the same.
You just have to think of the positive more "you" time and more "couples" time for you and your hubby.

Hello everyone
My home Internet keeps pooping out on me. I think I am canceling it. It's through Sprint. I just hope they let me out of my contract. I want to get Comcast. I would have stayed with At&t but the part of Urbana I'm in doesn't get it!!! Oh well this might cost me to get out of the contract. I am thinking I have 30 days to cancel.
We got rain yesterday but today is super hot. With the heat index it's 99 outside. They are saying on the radio that they are letting the kids out of school early because of the heat. Then I was thinking we never got let out early for heat. We had no AC and it would get soooo hot in those classrooms. But we stayed and sweat our butts off...I am thinking the kids are getting wimpy...hahaha. Come to think of it we had no AC at home or in the car either. There were times in the Summer it was cooler outside than it was inside.
Tomorrow I have the guy coming to put in my garage door opener!!! Yeah!!! Because I am already getting tired of opening that garage door then getting out of my car to close it...sounds lazy I know.
Today more of my weird sense humor came out at work and this time the person laughed with me. We were in the lunch room and I was heating up my hot dog in the microwave, When I took it out it made a really weird noise and I said "my hot dog farted" and the other girl in the lunch room started to laugh...yeah!!! It was funny though...hahaha
Well better get going. Have a great day. Bye

Chrystal, you are right about the schools getting out because of heat. Chloe, in Mahomet, got out around 1 because it was 97 degrees. You are right about the heat...when I was a kid we lived in farmhouse. My sister and my bedroom was upstairs (heat rises! LOL) MY GO**** was so hot some nights. We had a fan in the window bu it jus blew heat around...and yep, schools did not have a/c!! We were a lot tougher! LOL
Glad your job/house, etc are all going well. I bet it is so much fun to know you can call Amanda anytime and she could be to your place (or you to hers) in just a few minutes! I know that is the very best part.

Good Evening Everyone!
I am now working 6 hours a day and am really feeling it. You would not think that 2 more hours would make a difference, but my back is killing me when I get through with work and I have been coming home everyday and taking a nap! What am I going to do when it is back to 8 hours? Ugh!
Yesterday I was supposed to have PT but when I showed up my therapist had gone home sick, they had changed the time it was scheduled for, and I was dead tired. I took a pass and came home and slept. Tonight I went grocery shopping after work.
Lisa, I am so sorry you had to waste a trip to Rock Falls. What a bummer. Somehow, that sounds so familiar though. Lisa, it is great to feel rested when you wake up. I have been waking up on my own in the morning so I think I am getting enough sleep.
Dawn, how great to wake up in a good mood! I would not question it at all. I am sure it is bittersweet to see your children growing up and going on their own. You must be proud of them but they are still your babies.
Sandy, I am so glad that you are feeling better. Every doctor is different. Mine was VERY restrictive on food we could have but I could take pills with no problems. She gave me the guideline of the size of an m & m or smaller. I may have pushed it but my meds tasted so nasty sprinkled on foods that I quickly learned to swallow pills. I have never had any problems taking meds anyway.
Crystal, I am so sorry your internet service is not working out. It sure is not worth the aggravation to keep your current contract. I am also glad that you are feeling more relaxed at work to crack some jokes. That sounds more like you and they will love you! I love my garage door opener and would never go without one again!
Georgie, I agree with you and Crystal. We were not wimps. There was no ac and we did not get out early. We did not have ac in our house either. I lived in North Carolina and do not remember it being overly hot. It had to be close to 100 there in the summer.
Kids today are spoiled and pampered. Our grade school has parents and grandparents lining up to pick up kids 2 hours BEFORE school dismisses each day. I live a block from the school and traffic is a nightmare. I dont think very many kids walk to school anymore.
Everyone have a great day!

The walking to school thing is soooo true. I had a little over a mile to walk to school and I did it in -20 degrees and 2 feet of snow. I know I sound like one of those old people that talk about walking 10 miles up hill to school but with me it was true. My mom and dad would have never driven me to school. Amanda had to walk to school too. I had to work but when I wasn't at work I would go get her and she thought it was a big treat...hahaha. I did feel bad if it was storming outside and I knew she had to walk to school and get wet. But that's the life of a single parent family.
