Good Morning, it looks like it could rain again today. We had a good storm last night.

I had a nice time yesterday, watching my Granddaughter. She was installed as an officier in Rainbow. Then, came home and watched a movie on Netflix.

Today, just finishing the laundry, working on a pair of pants that need shortning, and chilling. It should be a nice day.I want to get some exercise in too.

A boneless turkey breast in out for dinner this evening.

Have a great, safe, day.

Hugs,
LISA

Good morning all,
This has been a busy weekend!  We are remodeling a bathroom that was in such bad shape.  Oh with 5 people in the house it will be nice to have 2 working bathrooms again.
No big plans for today.  Church this morning, painting afterwards, laundry and then grocery shopping.  I am amazed at how fast we are going through food these days.  I need to get better with coupons.  Hey if anyone does not use their coupons, let me know!!  I will gladly send a SASE to you for them!!  Anything to save $$
Have a great day

Good morning Steven and the rest of Illinois!

I took our city girl back to O'Hare on Friday morning and there were tears all around.  She did not want to leave and really LOVES it here.  That made me feel really good.  I was so afraid that she would think we were "hicks" and be bored and hate her visit.

I was/am concerned for her as she is thin as a rail and really did not eat much of anything  while she was here.  She does a bit of modeling.  When she arrived in Denver, her mother was mad at her because she had gained 2 lbs.!!!!  Can you believe that?  A person can gain 2 lbs. of water weight just by sitting in an airplane!  Not only that, but WHY or HOW do you weigh your 14 year old daughter when travelling and you haven't seen her for almost a week?  It got me to thinking that I don't even KNOW how much Olivia weighs, nor do I care.  When she was gone for 2 weeks, I just wanted to hug her when I saw her!

We will continue to be good role models for her and hope for the best.  She is talking of maybe coming back over winter break.  That would be nice.

I am not sure what I will do today.  I have some deep cleaning that needs to be done and am thinking about turkey legs on the grill.  We saw them at the fair, but they were $8.00 each!  I am too frugal for that!

Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Unfortunately, I think your daughter's frien will have food issues (if she doesn't already).  Her mom should be ashamed of herself.  I really think it's criminal that this mother is setting her daughter up for a lifetime of food issues.

When I was growing up I was always very skinny.  I was 5'9" and weighed 120-125.  My dad and his mom would call me "hippo hips" and "buffalo butt" and my dad would sing this song to me...

fatty, fatty...two by four
couldn't get through the bathroom door
so she did it on the floor

So I was constanly doing things to lose weight because I thought I was fat.  When I looked in the mirror I seriously saw a fat person.  My butt was too big, my thighs were huge...at least that's what I saw.  And looked what happened to me...I ended up fat for real.

I am so sorry to hear that Crystal.  BIG HUGS!
I understand that this poor girl will/does have food issues.  She barely ate anything when she was here and one day, Liv made her a grilled cheese and she was in heaven!  She said that she had not had a grilled cheese in over 2 years!

Good Morning to all my IL family- it is alive!!!  I am slowly finding my way since Eddie's death-closing the apartment was the hardest.   I lost a lot, but I realized it just stuff-what I need is in my heart and head.  I have lost 17 lbs. going up and down stairs at my daughters house and my grandson is thouroughly enjoying my cooking.  We managed to get away for a camping trip at the end of June-boy did that feel good.  I'm involved with my daughter's parish and do some volunteer work for a charity when I feel up to it.  My health took a beating these past few months and I am running on diminshed lung function so I have had to give up the gun running and prostitution-so much for my spending money!!!  I am very happy here with my daughter & my girls fuss at me to take care of myslef so I best do it.  I will check in more often now that my computer is up and fine tuned thanks to my son-in -law and grandson-I am spoiled!!  It's good to see you all are well- I have missed you-huge hugs-janet K.

Janet! It is so nice to see you here. You are a lot stronger then you think. You did go through alot with Eddie, and now it is time for you. Enjoy your family, they love you too. Now, about your former gun running and prostitution, those are for the youngsters. Let them take over those trades.

Love ya,
LISA

I am glad you are dealing with loss so well.  After my mom died my dad did very poorly.  He never really was able to move on.  The odd thing is he died almost exactly (to the day) died two years after my mom died.  My mom died on February 2nd and my dad died on January 31st.

It is nice to have family to surround yourself with...and the charity is a great thing to do for people.  I am glad to see you will be checking in more often.
