struggling
I need your prayers. Situation with my son. Things I have no control over. We live in the Philadelphia, PA area. He went to Illinois for a concert and ended up spending 3 days in the hospital because of complications from his diabetes. He is very sick and 800 miles from home. The hospital released him on Sunday and he found that the car would not start. They got it towed to a dealer in Carbondale and are waiting for word about what is wrong and what it will take to fix it. He is with a few friends. Once they get the car back, it is still at least a 14 hour drive. He told me he will need to go to the hospital as soon as they get home. It takes A LOT for him to agree to go to the hospital.
I will not feel right until he is home.
I'm just posting here in the IL board because it makes me feel closer to him. How weird is that?

Hugs to you. As a mom, you must be frantic! What a situation to have happen. It sounds like your son knows some people in Illinois and has a place to stay which is fortunate! I am sure the dealer can help get his car fixed and back on the road. People in Illinois are honest and take care of those in need. So your son should be fine.
I am sorry he is having health issues. That is scary. I don't think the hospital would have released him if he was not stable. Prayer for you and your son and his safe travels home!
Meanwhile, keep in touch with him. I am sure he know you are worried.

Dear Jill:
BIG HUGS!!!!!
As a mom, I feel your pain. I am sending good thoughts to you and your son. Hopefully he will be home with you soon where you can take care of him and give him "mommy snuggles". Even though my kids are in their upper teens (and one is in her early 30's) 'Mommy snuggles" still help them lots!

Dear Jill,
As a mother and a grandmother, I can tell how helpless you feel. I wish I was closer to Carbondale, so I could check on him for you. I am sure he will get the car fixed, and be coming home. It doesn't matter how old they are, mine are in thier 40's, you still worry about them. Hold in there.
Hugs,
LISA
