Saturday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I had a great time yesterday. My day went by pretty fast. It was lots and lots of food (ugh I probably gained weight) and lots of friends.
I don't feel sad about any of this. I feel like I should be feeling some sense of loss, But I feel nothing but impatience to get this new life going.
Today I have to run to get a blood test done and then run to Walgreens. Then I am home for the day because they are closing my neighbohood down for Dragstrip Days. So it will be a day filled with lots of noise...because they rev up the engines of their cars...it's soooo loud.

Hello IL! It is good to be home and sleep in my own bed. All we had was a double bed in our motel room. We managed somehow but it is nice to have the extra few inches of a queen bed. It is also nice to have a coffee pot you can make your own coffee in. Our room was "bare bones" but we managed.
Happy it is raining here right now so I do not have to go out and water the veggies and flowers. According to wunderground.com we have had .38" already. This is a great site that you can put in info, get current weather for a zip code and then also find out weather from previous days or years. It is how I keep up with rainfall when we are travelling and if I need to call the neighbors to water for me.
Crystal, rumbling of vehicle engines is not my favorite thing either. That is the one bad thing about Broadway in downtown Dells that it is a state truck route and the semis and other large vehicles come from the interstate to the other state routes that go north and southbound. It was a little noisy at times sitting at our pool while away but for us it quited down in the evenings.
I need to go pick up my new glasses and contacts today. I had a major change in my prescription reading and distance so I could not get by on my old ones. After that is over who knows maybe a nap is in order. We did not get home until 11ish last night, we watched American Pickers for a bit, had some cottage cheese and then went to bed.
We have a couple plans for next week. More than likely we will take the train downtown to the farmer's market at Daley Plaza and then on another day we will go down on the train and then transfer to the NW line, go up to Glenview and then to the Chgo Botanic Garden. They have that outdoor garden train display that we want to see.
Off to check out what is going on on FB.

Good Morning!
We are taking a road trip today to St. Louis. I want to go the the farmers market (Soulard-French), then to the Italian Market called Urzi's (Italian), Eckerts Farms (American) and now trying to find maybe a German restuarant for lunch. We are going on a food adventure.
Morgan is away again for the weekend.
We have not had any rain in two weeks down here in central Illinois. Our tomatoes are not going to ripen. Too much stress for them. Lots of them on the vines but they are not starting to go soft. Gonna try and find some "green" tomatoe receipes.

It does happen, and I know that today you will be back on track.
Christine, I am glad you are back from vacation. It sounds like you are going to have a great time this week also.
Monica, I am jealous. You can go to Dreamland Palace in Foster Pond ( just west of Waterloo) for great German food.

I did get the bathroom cleaned yesterday. Yodary, I think i am going to start on my closet. Then, I will be done with my main projects for the summer. We are still getting the house painted and stained. With this het breaking, it will be easier.

Sorry I have been MIA lately. My appts yesterday!! On Jeannie's(dietician) scale(5 lbs heavier) I was down 4 lbs n Dr A was down 8.8 lbs. Dr A thinks I go for the sleeve instead of the band. It would be less up kept with me living farther away. So I think I am goin for it. Thursday I meet with Dr Brown for my psych appt n while I am there see if he will give me prescrip for some anxiety meds,cause even Dr A said that would be great for me in the long run to get on them now. I told him I was afraid it I got on them now he would let me have surgery. He said no it would be great if I was on them now.
