Monday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Well I got a lot done this weekend. I have packed about 90% of what I own. I still have some cleaning to do, some furniture to get rid of, more stuff to throw away, and drop off some stuff at Goodwill. All and all it was a very productive weekend. I packed 28 boxes. I still have wardrobe boxes to pack and books to pack. I would have never been able to get so much done by myself in two days 150 lbs ago. I would have had to ask for help. I have done this all by myself so far!!!
I can't believe it's almost time...one more week of work!!!! And I move in 10 days!!!! I can't wait!!!
I keep going over and over my budget in my head. I guess I am worried I won't have enough to cover all of the expenses. Moving is very expensive...luckily it's all tax deductible and I saved all my receipts.

Yesterday, I finished cleaning the last bedroom. Now, I can start stripping the wallpaper in the bathroom and getting it painted. I know, I am nuts, but during the fall and winter, I don't have the ambition to do it. Next week, I want to get into my closet. Its scary right now. Then, I will stop this cleaning and enjoy my last few days of vacation.

Crystal, stop worring about the budget. You are an accountant, you know you will be ok.
Yesterday, I finished cleaning the last bedroom. Now, I can start stripping the wallpaper in the bathroom and getting it painted. I know, I am nuts, but during the fall and winter, I don't have the ambition to do it. Next week, I want to get into my closet. Its scary right now. Then, I will stop this cleaning and enjoy my last few days of vacation.

Good morning all.
I am sitting here, drinking breakfast and watching "Shark Week" on discovery. Love shark week. One of my bucket list; swim in a shark tank and see on up close!! Yes, I know strange but oh how majestic. I once wanted to be a marine biologist but my own self doubt got in my way! But oh that is for another time.
So, this weekend, I spent trying to get Christian (my new son)'s mom on the phone. She and I both have been in touch with the high school to get him registered for school. I have the paperwork and kept calling so we could get together and sign everything.
I found out she and her husband were moving out of their apt. Ok, I understand, no big deal. She speaks with her son at 9:30 and tells him I could call her now. "What the heck?" could she not call me??
So I call her and my only reaction is, Why can you not just do what we need to do? Now, she is hesitant about signing the paperwork, not sure if she should etc. Ok, this is her son, but he has chosen not to be with her. If she wanted him, she and her family of 4 would have moved into a place larger than 1 bedroom!! Plus, she never calls to see how he is doing? While I was talking with her, her voice was off. Almost sounded as if she had been drinking. Slurred speech. It was later confirmed she is a drinker. So this morning, I had to call the school, cancel Christian's registration apt and then the social worker. Let's put it this way, when speaking with the social worker last Thursday, I was told, thank you for taking him in. In as much of a professional way as the social worker could, I was able to figure out that mom was not well liked. Oh well, I will just breath and pray and do what I need to do. I will tell you he is a good kid.
So, enough rambling. sorry to take up your reading, but that is what is bugging me right now.

Warm and muggy are the words of the week up here in the north woods but we have a pool, water, AC and are sharing food to help with the expense of the trip. Plus we cannot consume the massive size plates that restaurants serve. I cannot get into my email here because they do not have Firefox on their 'puters at the library. So I read the weather, here on OH and I will see what else I can get myself into trouble with on the 'net. I guess I could log into FB and "tootle" around there also. See what is up with my family and friends.
It is Davey's B-day today and we are taking the sunset dinner cruise on the Upper Dells this evening. Doing a lot of walking as that is just about all that I can do at this point and of course I can go into the pool which surprised me. Thank God for that because it helps cool your body off.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Another hot one out there today. Our heat index is already at 98 degrees and there is still time for it to rise. Ugh! At least we have ac.
Work was nice and busy this morning which keeps me out of trouble or so they think!
Poor Rick spent all day yesterday and this morning trying to install a ceiling fan and it does not work. He spent over 2 hours on hold with the manufacturer and no answer to the call. Now he is trying to take the fan back.
Crystal, I am amazed at you having almost everything packed. Don't forget to reconfirm things with your movers. I am sure you will be fine with your budget. Quit worrying! Relax and enjoy your last week at work. Lisa, good luck with all your final home improvement projects. Everything sounds so nice! Once it is done you can sit back and enjoy it all. Steven, it is such a great feeling to get rid of all those clothes that don't fit! Have fun getting some new ones! Debbie, what a neat item to have on your bucket list! You are braver than I am! Good luck in getting Christian settled in and registered. It is unbelievable how little some parents care about their children. It is so kind of you to take him in. Good Evening All!
Had a woohoo moment. I had a customer come into my office today to make his payment-looked at me once, looked at me twice, then went to the only other person in the office that he reconized and said "Monica doesn't work here anymore?" I said yes Jim, I am right here. He did not reconize me!
Looking forward to all the new fall clothes I have to get this year. Nothing from last year fits-its a good 6 sizes too big. I went from a size 28 to a size size 16 and I actually just got a pair of jeans in size 14 over the weekend.
Morgan has a Rainbow meeting tonight. International Order of Rainbow for Girls is a Masonic Youth Group. She is a state officer this year and her local assembly is voting for local officers. She is in line for a local assembly office tonight.
Hope everyone is trying to stay cool. I have been keeping our AC at about 78 degrees and actually turned it down some to make it cooler in here.
