Thursday Roll Call
I have the last of the packing to organize for Saturday. We are taking Amtrak up to the Dells (see my post yesterday). I also need to get out to the veggies to stake up the tom's as they are so heavy that they are falling over. I hung up some basil last night to dry in the 3 season room and gave away some with hot peppers to the neighbor also.
What is cook'n in your world?

Not sure what woke me up this morning, the thunder or knowing I have to go for test this morning. It doesn't matter, since I am up and ready to start my day,
I need to do a load of landry this morning. And I would like to get started on cleaning the last bedroom, Dare I say cluttered? then, after the hospital, I need to go to the store, that way, I won't have to go tomorrow.
Have a good time in the Dells Christine. We haven't been u p there in a couple of years.
Chrstal, how is the packing going?
Jules, you also?
Nancy, now you should be back in work mode. Hubert asked me last night if I was ready to go back to work yet. I told him truthfully, NO. But i know in 30 days I will be back for another season.
Sandy, was today the day your hubby has to go have surgery?
deb, when do you start back to work?
Have a great, safe, dry day.
Huggers,
LISA
Hello everyone
More people are coming up to me at work and congratulating me on my new job. One of my friends was telling me about the Patterson location in Champaign. She said "you could have just transferred down there once there was an opening". I didn't want to transfer and I didn't want to stay employed with this company. So I told this lady, that I was looking for a change and didn't want to stay with the company. She acts like this company is so great. It really isn't. Only thing I will miss are the people I work with. I don't think I will ever find a better group of people.
This weekend I am going to throw out the bed in my daughter's room. A lady at work asked if I was going to do that by myself and I said yes. She told me I was crazy. Why because moving a bed is soooo hard. It's a mattress and box-spring and frame. Not a big deal....I mean I moved a treadmill by myself once.
Today nothing is going on but work and working out. Yesterday I ran for 30 minutes straight, without stopping. That's a record for me!!!!
Well hopefully it will clear up and get sunny. See ya later.
Chris---so glad to see that you are recovering well.
Nancy---back to work is always a bit unsettling, but it will all come back like gangbusters, I am sure!
Lisa---good luck at the doc!
Crystal--AWESOME with the running! I want to do that some day!
I am working and dealing with family/work DRAMA!!!! OMG!!!!! There was a REASON that we didn't hire family at one time and now my father-in-law is remembering WHY!!!!! Some of the newly hired family members have never had a REAL job and do not know how to behave at one. Constant gossip and backbiting. They were taken to task for it many times and do not seeand told that since it is not working out, they should look for other work. He gave them 4-6 weeks (or so.....). They reciprocated by yelling and bit**ing out the door. The next day, they came in, did their jobs and kept their mouths shut. THEN-----my brother-in-law called my mother-in-law (who is the most sensitive woman I know) and told her to go to HE** and that they were no longer part of her family. The MIL has NOTHING to do with the business. This was his cowardly way of making things worse.
For the next few days, the father-in-law is out on vacation and I get to be "in charge" of the circus. The problem children each separately spent a half an hour each this morning telling me their woes. Again......time that should have been spent working. UGGGGG!
BUT------the good news is that I am handling it all with a smile. After my breakdown a couple of weeks ago, I have decided that it is NOT worth it. I am trying to just let it all roll off my back. Wish me luck with continuing in this way.
Gotta get back to it!
Everyone have a splendid day!
Anyway, you are handleing everything right. Smile , it will drive them nuts.
