Tuesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I am here at work eating breakfast ( banana and almonds).
This will be the last month end here...unfortunately it won't be my last month end ever. In accounting, month end is a rule no matter where you work. My boss took the news really well. She has asked me to make sure I wrap everything up at my desk and next week she will sit with me so I can show her what I'm working on. As far as my replacement goes....she seems to be leaning towards a person I don't like. You know the tattletale I talk about once in awhile...she wants to give the job to the tattletale's friend. This will be bad news for my department. No one likes this person and she will bring down the morale of the department. I feel bad for them if she ends up being their boss.
I am still sore. Last night I worked out but I could only do 30 minutes on the treadmill...and no running. Then I did 20 minutes on the bike. Mondays are usually lower body for weights but I worked on my upper body. I got home and I was sooo sore,.... really I was in pain. This wasn't discomfort...it was pain. So I took a shower and iced my legs. Then I took a muscle relaxer and some Vicodin. I went to bed early. Today I do feel like I'm in a lot less pain.
On another note I read this article on Yahoo.com that I thought was a great article. So I thought I would share it. It's a list of 20 habits that make you fat.

Well I better get back to work. See you all later. Bye
I feel alot better today then yesterday. I don't know what brought on the dizzy spell yesterday morning, but I was able to see my Dr. She has me going for some tests on Thurday morning, Then if needed, I will go see my cardio Dr. Its always something.
Crystal, I am happy everything went well for you yesterday.
Is today the day Nancy goes back to work?
I think I will get into my one bedroom today and "spring clean " it. I haven't got into the closet in that room for ages, and I know it has way to much stuff in it. I hav a lot of things I want to do before I go back to work in Sept.
Have a great, safe day. Stay hydrated.
Huggers,
LISA

Crystal, I was happy to hear your resignation went well and was handled professionally...as it should have been. Sorry they are leaning toward a candidate that may not work well with the current staff. Tell you staff to talk up if things do not go well..but to give her a chance! (Does that sound like an HR person talking?)
Sorry you are hurting, never fun.
Lisa, sorry about your dizzy spells, hope everything turns out ok and it is nothing serious.
I read everyday, just don't post, so Steven, congrats on the wt. loss goal, Christine, hope you're feeling better, Nancy hope work is ok for you, Jules, hope your move and job works out soon!
I don't have a lot going on. howver, cracked a tooth yesterday, but got right in to my dentist and he was able to fix it! Yeah. Feels good today. It was a molar and I can chew today, so that works for me!
Sunday I am going to the Paul McCartney concert at Wrigley Field. Taking Chloe (her first concert and she is so excited) and her mom, Amy. I booked a hotel so we are staying overnight in Chicago. Should be fun. I haven't seen him before, hear he does a super concert, and at 69, he prbly won't be doing a lot more! LOL. Couldnt' believe I got tickets.
Don't know much else. Also, Crystal, so glad to hear your duplex turned out so well. Remodeled, to boot, should be so nice for you. I am really happy for all the good things that are happening for you.
Well, gotta run. Hi to everyone else. Have a super day.

Dave took me to Downers Grove to a beading store and I saw a yarn store across the street and they had some of the yarn I use in colors other than what I already had. We had lunch at an Irish Pub and my left overs will feed both of us for dinner and then some.
We are going to get a little walking in tomorrow at the DuPage Co. Fair. Before ya all say to take it easy I have been told to add activity as tolerated. I can always come home and nap. This fair is small, small, small and I do not have to drive to and from.

Well I survived my first day back at work. The biggest problem was remembering how to sign in to the system as we have different protocols at different steps. It sure is heck to get old. I do that so automatically that you forget when you have to think about it.

Crystal, I am sorry you are still so sore. I was talking to my physical therapist about my soreness and we determined that I have a muscle tear. Ouch! I feel sorry for your friends if they get a supervisor they do not like. I hope that is not the case.
Lisa, good luck on Thursday. I hope they find out the source of the dizziness and that it is minor. Also good luck on getting all of your "projects" done before returning to work. I got all of mine done except for the basement. It is nice to have closets that you can find stuff in.
Georgie, I am envious that you are going to see Paul Mcartney! How cool is that? I never have seen any of the Beatles live. That will be an awesome concert and one that you will remember! Enjoy!
Christine, I hope you have a better night tonight. It is rough when you are trying to recover and can't sleep. Enjoy the fair. You are right, DuPage's is a small fair in comparison to other county fairs. Just be careful not to get overheated.
Sandy and Ahmer, I hope both of you are doing ok! Ahmer, I know you are working two jobs but try to drop by and let us know that you are alive!

They can see prior heart attacks via tests and they are called silent heart attacks. My MIL had a major one about 10 years ago and never knew it occurred. She also had subsequent ones after that and did not know about them either. There are chemical changes in your body that show up in tests and also show in other tests.
Please, please, please try to understand that this is just a bump in the road. They have to perform surgery safely and they would be remiss not addressing this issue with you. Yes, they could have handled this differently . . .
