Friday Roll Call
Good Morning, Ya think the heat may be lifting a bit? Hopefully it does. I want to do some stuff in the yard, but I can't do it now.
We went to a play last night. The Drozy Connection. Its a play inside a play, It was great. I am so happy we bought season tickets this year. In fact, Hubert already checked on next years tickets.(Cannot order before Feb.)
Today I have a few errands to run, then home to the pool.
Crystal, be careful dring downstate today. Hope you find the best house you can.

the Rain feels so good this morning
not a rain person but this hot heat was starting to get to me...
to everyone besafe and enjoy your FRIDAY...I need to get to GNC this weekend...need it to be cool out do to my air dont work in my SUV have to wait for cooler days to shop....well anyway got lots to finish I was putting all my to do's in my phone and I hit Delete and everything went so now I get to put it all back in my phone hahaha well lucky me peace all Sandy

I am working now (if that's what you call it......can't really concentrate!) I will be leaving this afternoon to pick up Liv! Yippee! I am SO sure that she will be a more mature young lady than the one I took to O'Hare 12 days ago. Even her new Facebook pic looks more grown up!
She called this morning to tell me that she lost her dorm key last night at the beach. I had to call down there to pay the fee (from her account). The lady said that Liv is the first one of the summer to lose her key.....THAT'S MY GIRL!!!! SHE would be the one!!!!!!

So....that's it for me today. I will pick her up and we will stop somewhere yummy for dinner (thinking Portillo's) before heading home. We do not have to hurry because Daddy has to go to Boy Scout Camp overnight and David is helping a friend move.
Tomorrow is "A Day in Rock City" and friends are coming to hang out for the day and evening. I promise NOT to think about work the whole time!

Good Afternoon Everyone!
It is a little cooler today which is nice but it is still hot. Rain??? We have not had any here today. It is very humid though. I had PT today and stopped and talked to a neighbor on the way home. Rick is off to Hines Vet Hospital to see a variety of doctors today. I am gearing up to enjoy the last 3 days of my freedom before heading back to work. No special plans for the weekend. Will play things by ear.
Steven, enjoy your 3 days off. It is so easy to get burned out at work. Even after 4 months I dont want to go back.
I know after a few days I will be tearing my hair out again.
Lisa, I hope you have a good day. It sounds like the heat will be lifting sometime Sunday and then kick back up on Wednesday so you may want to plan your outdoor activities for Monday and Tuesday.
Sandy, no AC in the car would be awful in this weather! UGH! Send some cooling rain our way. I hate it when I do stupid things like delete things I dont want to delete and have to do it all over again!
Dawn, enjoy your me time with Liv. Those photos are fantastic. I can't wait to hear more about her trip! Such a wonderful experience for her. I hope you enjoy a relaxing "A Day in Rock City" Not having to work will seem strange but enjoy it! Then maybe you and Liv can escape someplace and have some girl time.

Hi Nancy,No the boy is not an exchange student. He is a friend of my sons.howevere, hr hashad a horrible past yr. Let's see where to start.
1) his moth left him when he was 7 crying in a parking lit holding his dad's hand. So he never had much of a relatioinship with her.
2) he found his dad dead of a heart attach last yr. The house he was broughtuo in went into forcloser as his mom did not keep up the payments after the death.
3) he has to move in with his mom and her boyfriend. Mom now has two more children from the boyfriend. Since the babies have the other bedroom, he sleeps on the couch.
4) last Saturday the boyfriend gets arrested for domestic abuse.
5) last Sunday mom kicks him out of the apt as the boyfriend is coming home.
He is such a good kid. He is the captain of e hockey team at the high school. It is his senior yr and he wants to graduate with his friends. He has family but non that live in the district. He works at Great America and has been saving his money for when he graduates. He wants to go to college and is hoping for a hockey scholarship. He has a strong faith and is very polite. How could I say no. I am such a softy when it comes to kids. As a mother I can not imagine chosing an abusive boyfriend over my son. I do not understand that thought process.
This experience will be good for my kids. They can only benefit from the experience of helping another.

You are a hero Debbie. I know that sounds like I'm being dramatic...but you really are. Every kid from a troubled family should have someone like you around. That person for me is my grandma she raised me and took care of me when my mom and dad were to wrapped up in their drinking and drugs. As I get older I realize more and more just how important her love and support was in my life. That is what you are doing for this young man. One day when he is 40 he will look back and think the same thing about you.

I am sitting here relaxing a bit waiting for Amanda to get off of work. I have done nothing but run, run, run today. But it was all good. I got my drug test this morning....I passed!!! I got my physical and the only thing that caused any concern was my ganglion cyst??? But I was cleared for work.
Then I went to drive by the duplex I wanted. I figured if I didn't like what it looked like I wouldn't even bother keeping the appointment. But they really nice in a nice neighborhood...way to go Charles for suggesting them. So I went to meet with the lady and she showed me the unit I would move into and it is going to be completely remodeled. new kitchen cabinets, counters, flooring throughout is all new, new appliances, and a new bathroom!!! I am so excited. It is the prettiest place I have ever lived in. The place I live now the kitchen is from the 70's. The lady wrote up the lease right there and I paid the deposit. It's officially mine...all mine (on August 11th it will be mine). It has a garage and a drive way. Plenty of space for a little flower garden. The lady that lived there didn't take care of it so it's all weedy and over-grown. I will have my work cut out for me. I don't know what else to say about the place except it is perfect for me.
I do have one funny story.... I was driving down the street when a cop coming from the opposite direction started to make a u-turn and motioned towards me and I thought he was telling me to follow him. So I follow him thinking he wants to stop me for going to fast (which I was). I thinking he wants to lead me somewhere off the main street so we don't interfere with traffic. The next thing I know he stops in front of a business and asks if I need anything. I said no...I told him I thought he wanted me to follow him so he can give me a ticket...He laughed and said no I was motioning for you to go ahead, not to follow. Then he said "well you did a good job following me...I will let you off with a warning" hahahahahahaha
I am such a dork but I was so happy that I wasn't getting a ticket... I didn't care how stupid I looked!!!
Well I will get going. I have another hour to kill. Have a good rest of the day!!!!
