Great news Steven. I am still on one of my BP meds, but with the problems with my heart I still have, I will always be on something.
Please do not exercise outside until this weather breaks. It is DANGEROUS!!!!!!!!!!!
I will be finishing the painting of the bedroom this morning.
Then I am going to find a new headboard for the bed. I may also stop at General $ to see about some new lamps. They are to much$$$ at the furniture stores. I was going to go to the services today for Mom and boys that died last week, but I really don't think being in this heat would be good for me. We did go to the wake last night, there had to be 200 people in line. So very sad.

Hello everyone
Ugh!!!! This heat is bad. I feel bad for the people that have to work outside. My daughter works outside on Thursdays and Fridays...hopefully it won't be as bad tomorrow. Yesterday it was 10 degrees hotter in Champaign than it was here...if you can imagine. The heat index there was 118!!!! I of course wasn't really bothered by the heat because I usually have to wear a jacket here. It's freezing. But....yesterday when we were working out the electricity went out for a couple of seconds and the AC never came back on. I kept on exercising and within 15 minutes you can really feel the warmth and the stagnant air. I finished my workout anyway!!! I was extra super sweaty...if that's possible.
Today is a co-worker's birthday...can we say cupcakes cookies and brownies...OH MY!!!!
Stephen- congrats on the BP meds. It's great not to have to take them anymore.
Amher- I think your mom comes home today...right??? Well I hope that house is clean enough...hahaha!!!!
Lisa- have you tried looking at lamps at Target. I know I have seen some nice ones for cheap or for a little more you can try JCPenney.

I am working and that is about it. Looking forward to getting Liv on Friday evening from O'Hare. Have not been doing much of anything.
I will be home alone again tonight......I think I will pick up a movie that I will enjoy, but that no one else might. mmmmmm?

I sure hope everyone is managing to stay comfortable in this heat! It is awful. I had to go get a colonoscopy today and at 8 am it was already 90 degrees. UGH!
Needless to say I was rather busy yesterday.
Just love that preop part --- NOT!! It is good to have it behind me. (pun intended)
Yesterday I also got the information straight on my benefit card. They are stopping the check that they issued. They had refused to do so the night before and my card should be active again in a few days.
Ahmer, your mom is coming home from a hot place and ending up in another one. I feel bad for her. Hopefully you were a good son and got the place all cleaned up! Steven, I am super glad you got off those BP medicines. It is always nice to be able to stop a medication. Lisa, it sounds like you have made great progress on your room! That is exciting. Crystal, like you I feel sorry for those who work outside. Amanda is young though and it may not bother her as much. Dawn, I know you are probably counting the hours til Liv gets home. I imagine you both will be up late Friday hearing all about her adventures! What fun!!! Sandy, I hope you are staying cool.

Well tomorrow I will have been home for one week, and can I say WOW what a week.
I took my kids to see Harry Potter for the midnight showing on Thursday. It was good. Kinda sad to see this era coming to an end.
Friday I was so tired as I never went to bed till about 4:30 am. Of course I could not sleep so I was up and down. Saturday and Sunday we spent at Pearl Lake as my girl was getting her scuba certification.
So Saturday night, my son sleeps at his friends house. He ended up calling home at midnight saying that the police were there due to domestic abuse. The boys mom had the police called on her boyfriend as she was scared he would "hurt" her. My son was shocked and very concerned for his friend. My hubby and I have had our fights but nothing that ended with the police. So he stays there, as the boyfriend was arrested. Sunday morning, my son calls saying that his friend was being kicked out of the house. Mom choose the boyfriend over her son. The friend HATES the boyfriend and refuses to stay there. So, long story short I have another teenager for awhile. Not sure how long it could be till mid-august or it could be till graduation next spring. He is a good kid and this is his senior yr. I feel so bad for him. Glad we could help though.
Well all, stay cool. It is so hot and humid out there. I am glad the gym has ac!!
