Tuesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
As I was driving home yesterday I noticed quite a few of the corn fields in Oswego the corn is laying flat to the ground, after yesterday's storm. I never saw that before. I am wondering if that completely ruins the farmer's crop?
I went to the library yesterday and picked up two more audio-books. I really like listening to them at work. It makes the time go by faster. I have good ones this time (two Anne Rice novels), the last time I had two duds.
Amanda is back from her honeymoon and she called me. I asked her a million questions. She spent a lot of time on the beach and eating Puerto Rican food. There were mango trees every where and wild horses. She was telling me about this Bio Tour. It sounds so cool...I would go just for this. Here is a link because it's best to see than to have me try to describe it...http://www.biobay.com/
Amher- I have thought about blogging. I will have to check out that site. Have fun cleaning and remember house cleaning burns calories....hahahaha
Well I hope everyone has a great day. See ya later.
Today is taking kids to there therapy and shopping at Wal-Mart, Then Tonight is group in peru.
Wow I got a text from my girlfriends son back in Wisconsin, she had her Lap-band done yesterday and she was in allot of pain, I told her in a text back to them, No turning back its all over now ,
I feel her pain only because I have had allot of abdominal surgeries and they are pain full and to make sure she uses her pain meds..
My son called we talked for 1hr and my other son came home last night and we talked about all my dates,he is very understanding for only being 19 it's wonderful I have this amazing support team here.well time to get ready...

Some people can't handle pain as well as others can. I had Band surgery and I was in some pain...it really wasn't that bad. I had Vicodin at home and only took it for two days and stopped. After a day or two the only time I felt any discomfort was getting up from a sitted position and bending over. Don't worry too much don't get worried.
I had gallbladder surgery the year before my band and that surgery was more painful than the band surgery.
I am so glad your son finally called you! That sure is a relief! I am also glad your sons are being so understanding for you. Support is really important and understanding is even more so. I know you are looking forward to your date! It is so exciting to have a new life ahead of you.
I found that after the first week the surgery was not painful at all. The biggest problem for the first 3-4 days was gas and I would have given anything to burp or pass gas. Once that passed I was only sore when I bent over or reached for something. It is major surgery so your body will want lots of rest but that is nice!

Glad to hear that Amanda is back and OF COURSE they had a great time! I will check out that site.
I got Liv off to NC on Sunday and was surprised when I realized that she could fly half way across the country in less time than I could drive home from O'Hare!

I am just working....nothing too exciting.
I think I will check out the blogging site Ahmer suggested too.
Everyone have a great day!
I am glad Liv got to her destination safe and sound. Not hearing from her means she is having a great time! It is amazing that Liv can fly to North Carolina faster than you can drive home from OHare. It is amazing the things we forget to pack. Your right, she probably found a brush to use real fast. Hope you have a great day!

WOW, it appears I really missed a big storm. I called my kids and thankfully we did not lose power. However, I understand Gurnee and the surrounding towns are a mess. Had I not been in AZ I would have been teaching summer school, however, they are closed today.... NO POWER! I did catch WGN news here and they reported that Great America's power was restored last night. I am sure many people will be hanging out at Hurricane Harbor to stay cool. My hubby told me we had some broken tree limbs but nothing else. Hope everyone here made out well.
So my weight has finally started to move again. 1 more pound to go before I can truly say "I have lost 100lbs!" It is amazing how much better we all feel when the bulk of our weight is lift off,
Do any of you watch the show "Extreme makeover, Weight loss addition"? I was so said watching last nights episode. A young man, from Illinois has/had such a strong food addiction that even with the trainer's help he could not stop eating the junk food. Boy, can I relate. He ended up going to rehab at the end of the show. I did notice for the first time that OA was listed in the credits for if you need help. I wonder if that is always there.
So, today I begin the chore of packing. Of course I have twice the amount to take home. I need some of those compression bags to fit everything in.
Have a great day!! Stay safe!
Debbie
I missed the storm as well as I slept through it!

I am so happy for you that your weight is moving again. When you reach that 100 lb milestone you will feel like a million dollars!

I can empathize with bringing more back than you took. I used to do that when I visited my folks in Arizonia. Just make sure the skycaps dont leave your boxes sitting on the curb at Sky Harbor like they did for me one time!

Unfortunately for the farmer, that crop is a total loss. Many of them do have disaster insurance that will help but..... Farming is a HUGE gamble and sometimes you win and others you lose. Farmers seem to take it in stride and have a lot of faith in the man upstairs. I admire them. I am glad Amanda is home and had a wonderful time! I am sure it is nice to have her available to talk to again. Just remember that she is newly married!

It is an almost an appointment free day for me! I have a hair appointment at 5 pm but other than that I am a free woman today! I have a new cleaning lady coming today. I hope she works out. My other one just stopped coming and I cannot reach her. Hmmmm.
Beemer made it through his surgery ok. It sounds like it was not as extensive of a surgery as they expected. He had to be one ticked off cat this morning. I tried to get him to eat supper last night before I took him in as it was no food or water after 8 pm for him but he refused. He probably was kicking himself later. I am not sure I want him back today. He probably needs to cool off.
