Thursday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I woke up today to a gloomy gray morning. But I'm still in great mood, because I finally got a job and I get to move by Amanda. I am very fidgety. I just want to hurry up the process. I wish I could just fast forward to the end of August!!!
I signed and sent my offer letter back to the company. I will be driving down to Champaign on 7-22 for my drug test/ physical (good thing I have lost weight and workout because I feel healthier than ever). So I am thinking when I go down there for that I can stay the whole day and find me an apartment. If I need to I will stay over night and keep looking. I wanted to do this sooner but I guess 7-22 is as soon as he can get me in. I don't know if that leaves me much time to find an apartment. I'm feeling a time crunch here...I will be so stressed until this is done. I will give my boss notice the following Monday. The only thing that really sucks is that I start over as far as accumulating time. I finally hit 4 weeks vacation in March. Now I start with 2 weeks all over again....ughhhh!!! I came right out and asked him about overtime and it seems that overtime only happens at month-end. Which will be a lot less than what I do now.
Nothing going on again...just work and working out
Nancy- I could really get used to your life style too...hahahaha. My boss will be panicked. I know her she will be running around like a chicken with her head cut off. I'm not sure if she will act angry.
Jules- I will be having a moving sale too. I think the last weekend of the month will be a good weekend. I want to get rid of some items before I leave. Including the mountain of plus size clothes that I have been hanging on to.
Dawn- It's so awesome you were able to send your daughter. I know we will do whatever we can to give our kids everything. I know I worked two jobs for 6 years to pay for everything.
Christine- I am a 'skeeter buffet. I seem to get eaten alive every time I'm outside in the evening. I will need lots of Off.
Well I better get going. See ya later. Bye.
As far as what I use to keep the biting critters away - I use Cutter Skinsensations. It is non aerosol, does not smell and you do not even know it is on your skin or clothing. I think that OFF has a similar product. I think they are both designed for kids also so they are gentle.

We will be leaving on vacation in less then 24 hours. We are heading for St. Louis tomorrow, to have dinner with a high school bunch of friends. Then Saturday to Birch Tree, Mo. to see a friend I haven't seen in at least 20 years. Sunday will see us in Branson, Mo. Monica V and her hubby Scott and Morgan will join us for the week. I am getting excited.
Today, I need to color my hair and finish a bunch of little things.
What are you doing today?
Stay safe, stay hydrated.
Hugs,
LISA
For once in a long time I didnt wake up wide awake in the middle of the night. However, my mind was very active in churning up dreams and I did wake up briefly a couple of times. But I am happy that I woke up with the alarm clark today.
Still on track with avoiding coffee. I did have a cup in the afternoon yesterday. I had 2 yawning attacks and I decided to get some coffee before the 3rd attack. I had to cuz I needed to say alert and productive. It was a busy day yesterday.
Hopefully I can stay afloat on green tea today. It is wonderful feeling knowing I am not killing myself with coffee. Tea is only temporary. Its something I am relying on in between the phases of going from coffee to no coffee.
The cranberry juice idean rang a bell. I am gonna try out the cranberry apple tea from celestial.
I have my workouts on hold for the next 2 weeks. I am focusing entirely on getting my sleep under control. It is the root cause of my fatigue which then interferes with my gym routine.
Alright..enough for today

Coffee isn't a bad thing, in moderation. They actually say that people that drink coffee:
- less likely to have type 2 diabetes, Parkinson's disease, and dementia
- have fewer cases of certain cancers, heart rhythm problems, and strokes
“There is certainly much more good news than bad news, in terms of coffee and health," says Frank Hu, MD, MPH, PhD, nutrition and epidemiology professor at the Harvard School of Public Health.
But (you knew there would be a “but," didn’t you?) coffee isn't proven to prevent those conditions.
Researchers don't ask people to drink or skip coffee for science's sake. Instead, they ask them about their coffee habits. Those studies can't show cause and effect. It's possible that coffee drinkers have other advantages, such as better diets, more exercise, or protective genes.
Did you guys really think I wouldn't weigh in on this one!!!!!!!!!!????????Jules
I am avoiding coffee to lower my caffeine intake...no other reason other than that. I have stepped down to tea in this effort. My hope is to eliminate caffeine altogether and just drink the delicious non caffeine fruit flavored teas instead !
