I hope everybody is having a nice fourth of July weekend. Remember not to over eat and make your self sick.  Well for me am just going to enjoy the day.

We have no special plans for today, Hubert is working. He won't have a day off until our vacation, which starts on Friday. I have Italian Beef in the crock pot, german potato salad in the fridge, jello to be made and leftover corn to be eaten. So, no cooking !

Good morning!  Happy 4th everyone!

I need to finish cutting up fruit to take with me to my families home in WI today.  I'm going to go to our community pool for an hour (at noon) and then drive to WI to see them.  My husband is in CA this weekend so it's just me today. 

So I got this new pineapple cutter from Pampered Chef and used it for the first time last night.  I love it!  So easy but I will warn everyone, it's VERY SHARP!  Just ask my thumb:)

I'm going to try Wendy's new berry salad for lunch today.  I love the Asian Chicken salad from McD, but I'm going to switch it up today.  Crazy of me!

Hello everyone

Today is a stay in my PJ's and do nothing kind of day for me....But I will be working out so I won't be in my PJ's all day. 

I am very antsy.  I guess I just want everything to move in fast forward so I can already living down in Champaign.  I will be going to Champaign Friday to do my drug test and fill out paper work.  While I'm there I will drive by a couple of places and see if I like them. 


Other than that I will have a relaxing day.  Have a good day.  See ya later.

A lazy day for me as well.  I made a tortolinni salad today and had some for lunch.  No specials plans today -- just kick back and take it easy.  I am trying to motivate myself to do some cleaning as it needs to be done.  We had a good time at the fireworks last night.  The weather was decent and the show was great!  

Steve, I hope you have a very enjoyable day!  Lisa, your food sounds great as always!  I may start coming to your house to eat.    So sorry Hubert has to work.  Any vacation plans?  Jules, enjoy your time with your family today.  You will miss them when you are in California.  By the way, how is your sister doing?  Crystal, I know how you feel.  When I knew I was coming up here I just wanted to get it over with, especially after I bought my house.  Time will fly ang you will be living down there before you know it!  Ahmer, where the heck are you?

Thanks for asking about my sister.  She is not doing very well actually.  She finished chemo and had the masetomy and they put in an extender for the fake boob later.  It got infected so they had to take it out.  While they were examining her, they saw that in the month she didn't have chemo the skin cancer has spread.  She starts radiation next week, and she already said she will not go through chemo again.  They did find the cancer in the lymphnodes as well so she moved to stage 4 cancer.  With this particular cancer she has a 3% chance of survival.  So I am trying to spend as much time in WI as possible.  I also offered to have her move with us.....live with us rent free-as we have the space.  Her daughter is in San Fran as well.  She is thinking about it but her boyfriend and two boys (20 and 30) live in WI.

Whew.  Look at what one simple question gave you!  I haven't told many so I thank you for asking.  I am worried about her and it hit me really hard yesterday.  Don't know why, just did.

I am so sorry to hear about your sister.  I had so hoped she would be progressing better.  That is really discouraging and those odds are horrible.  I am so sorry.  That is so rough for you and everyone.  

This is such a difficult situation.  I do understand her wishes of not going through chemo again.  That stuff is so wicked. When I had a dear friend refuse it I was stunned but by the time my dad refused it I understood.   I pray that the radiation is effective.  

I do hope your sister moves with you or at least comes for a long visit.  This will be the hardest part of you moving.  It must be tearing you up inside.  Yes, I understand the rough days.  Just try to take them one day at a time, one step at a time.  We do not know the future or what it may bring.  There is always hope so try to keep that in mind.

I am so sorry for your sister's health.  I am sure it's hard to see someone you love someone go through this.  Especially when they are so young.  But let's keep positive...lots of people survive things that doctors have said couldn't be survived.  I will keep you and your sister in my prayers.
