Walk From Obesity, Chicago event - Sept 17th

Keep the date of September 17th on your calendar for the Chicago area Walk From Obesity. It will be held at the Oak Brook Park District near Joree Blvd &  31st. Here is some brief info off of my doctor's website. http://www.lifeweighbariatrics.com/51.html There will be other bariatric centers represented at the event. The doctors from my office will be there in attendance as will the rest of his staff. The Kane Center also participates at the day's events.

All are invited as are your family members. It is a fund raiser for the ASMBS. PJ from my doc's office has her email address in the link if you would like to contact her. She would love to give you info. She has been the coordinator for the Chicago event for several years and is WLS patient herself. Hope to see you there. Even though Dave and & have a family wedding later on that day we are carving time out to be at this event - that is how much we believe in it.

PS - to add you do not have to be athletic or have to walk long distances. You do what you can do. There are short or long paths to walk and if you want to you can walk on the inside track.

I also wanted to add that the Chicago event last year was one of the top fund raisers for the ASMBS.

I've really been thinking about prticipating in this event!  Is anyone else going to try to go?  I don't think I would want to go by myself!  Anyone want to form a team or a group or something? :)
