Saturday Roll Call

Yeah it is Saturday!  Morning all you Illini's and happy day to the later in the day peoples.  I am waiting rather impatiently for my coffee to brew while I type. I wonder how the weather people blew the forecast - no rain by us. I did no****er my veggies because we were to get rain. So, I will be braving the skeeters to go out there later.

I have the car to organize and pack later this morning and the first thing in is Dave's golf clubs. It is so much easier to do it the day before so you can get on the road bright and early at 5AM.

I still love my new hair cut. Today I will try my hand at styling it as the hair dresser did it yesterday. Should not be too hard because it is so short and will be fast with the hair dryer.

What is happening in your corner of IL?

Hello everyone

I am sitting here relaxing and watching TV...my usual Saturday morning laziness.

Today, I will be working out and cleaning the house.  Then going to Walgreens.  Most importantly I will be dying my hair.  Well today is the easy part.  Tomorrow I am doing the highlights...it seems pretty straight forward but what it seems and what it actually is, is always different.  Christine, I have tried short hair cuts on a couple of occasions but I never liked it.  But that never stops me from cutting my hair again.  Right now I am growing my hair out.

Next week on Friday I have so much to do to get ready for the wedding.  I will also be shopping for a new vacuum.  I don't know if I will buy it Friday or Monday.  Then I will be buying a FitBit!!!  I love bonuses.

My doctor yesterday said that I lost 87 lbs since I have been seeing him in October...not bad if I do say so myself.  I owe it all to exercise.  Before I started exercising I was not losing any weight at all.  I just wish I could lose 50 more pounds.  But I am very thankful for the 150 lbs I have lost so far.  He also gave me the stronger Imetrex for my migraines (100 mg instead of 50 mg).  So the next time I get a migraine I should be OK.

Well I hope everyone has a great Saturday.  Have a good day.  Bye

I wish that I could grow my hair but mine is too thin and fine. I have been struggling with my hair falling out for a couple years and my hair stylist suggested The Bosley Hair treatment shampoo/conditioner system and that has worked wonders for me. It is actually a hormone replacement for the hair.  My hair is also way too wavy and curly to control so it is easier to keep it short. Your hair length really becomes you.

Consider a Dyson for your vacuum. I cannot believe the suction mine has even when you use the hose attachment.

Christine

I am almost positive I will be getting a Dyson.  I just have to figure out which one to buy.  I'm sure I will bring it home and vacuum and get grossed out at what comes out of my carpet.  I need a good vacuum because I am apparently hard on vacuums because I go through them fast.  I mean the one I have now is only two years old and it was already repaired once before.

 Good Morning Christine and All,

We had a great time yesterday with Annette and Rick. They took us to the John Han****  Building for lunch on the 95th floor. The views were spectacular. The lunsh was great too. Then we went to Navy Pier. It was the first time for both for us.Hubert got a kick with the menu he got having a Welcome Hubert Tucker on it.

Today I need to go to the cleaners, and I want to finish up some stuff I have started. Maybe get outside for a bit. I also want to go to the farmers market in Ottawa, but not sure about that.

Christine, your hair sounds cute.

Crystal, don't beat yourself up on no weight lost ot you overeating a time or two. You are Human!

Dawn, I am sure you are handleing everything this weekend the way you are able to handle a lot of things.

Nancy,  The best thing I ever did, besides having my kids, heart surgery and Lapband, was having all my teeth replaced.

Have a great day, stay safe.

Hugs,

LISA

Lisa-

I loved Navy Pier.  I went there last year with a friend.  Although, I did end up with a migraine.  I loved the rides, and we took a boat tour.  I also loved all of the little shops and the cool things you can buy.  I went crazy and bought tons of jewlery for Amanda.  I need to go there again soon.

Local weather casters on several news stations are saying that it is only a slight chance for us in our area. Only 30% chance and that is a 70% chance of no rain. It is only supposed to be "Isolated showers" and they are mostly to be south of us.

Good afternoon Chris and the rest of Illinois!

I am resting a bit and taking a break from clean-up.  the party went spectacularlly!!!!!  David had a wonderful time and lots of his theater friends came.  The kids loved the "Slip n Slide", even Liv!  The problem with throwing a huge party like that is that I feel like I barely got to talk to many of the guests.  Always something to do!  That's OK.  David had his best manners out and made sure to make the rounds and speak to everyone.  I am very proud of him!

He also bought his first car this morning!  He got a 1999 Chevy Malibu from a neighbor of sorts.  The gentleman even supplied the first tank of gas!  Just gotta LOVE living in the sticks!  He said that he figured a kid could use a break these days.  How nice!

I need to finish up and then we are heading to Riley's 5th birthday party.  Time sure flies!

Not sure WHAT we are doing tomorrow for Father's Day.  Whatever Todd wants, I imagine.

Chris, travel safely and have a great VaKay!

Have a great day all!

Tell someone that you love them!
