Good Morning Everyone,
Well were are back to a rainy day and much cooler. I normally go to the gym after work today
since I was not doing well yesterday. But feeling better today I think I am skipping my work out
today I don't want to push myself.
I hope everyone has a nice day.

Just one more day for the weekend. There is no rain forecasted for the weekend ... yet.

Not much on my agenda today. The gym opens in an hour and half so I will head out that way. Had tacos for the first time since the surgery... mmm mmm good.

My gym shoes were killing my feet and the new shoes I really want are around 100.00 dollars. Something I am not willing to shell out just now. So, thanks to a tip in Mens Health magazine I got some Dr.Scholls gel insole replacements. The cost 8 bucks after a cool 2 dollar coupon. My shoes are now comfier than when I got them !! This was too easy

Alright folks .. have a great day !!!

 Good Morning.

Steven, I hope you are feeling better today.

Nancy, You had a good day yesterday, what are you doing today?

Dawn, I hope whatever  problems you are having, goes away.

Me, well, after I got my car worked on and stopped to do some errands yesterday, I cleaned out my pantry. Then, I heard the pool calling. Enough said.

Today, I want to finish cleaning the 3 back bedrooms,  put fringe on my latest rug, and get some bookword done. My intenion is to stay home.

Have a great, rainy day.Stay safe.

Hugs,

LISA

Hello everyone

Well it's really storming out.  I woke up to no electricity.  So no blow dryer...I just put my hair back in a pony tail.  I got dressed by flash light...hahaha.

Well today is my Friday but I have big plans tomorrow.  I have my interview.  My first interview in 8-9 years!!!  Oh...I am so nervous.  So although I am off... it will be a more stressful day.  Not to mention I have to drive all the way down to Champaign.  I am hoping I am a top contender.  I don't think someone would have you drive 2.5 hours for an interview unless he was pretty sure he wanted you...do you think???  I have my outfit all picked put too.  I am wearing my black pinstripe slacks and white tie in the front sweater with a black top underneath.  I hope I will look nice.

A couple of my really good friends at work know I am trying to get a job in Champaign and they are happy and bummed at the same time, about my interview.

Steven- it's always good to take a day or two break.

Ahmer-  I so would love to go to one of those shoe places especially for runners.  They fit the shoe for you and they have you run on the treadmill and tape it and watch it in slow motion to see what kind of stride you have.  Then they find the shoe best for your stride.  I will go one of these days.  The shoes run about $100- $150....but it's worth it if it prevents injury.

Well I better get back to work.  I am listening to Deloris Claiborne and I can't wait to see what happens.  I'm watching the movie this weekend.  Have a great day...bye

I didnt know about a place where they custom fit you for your shoes. If I am gonna throuw 100 some odd dollars on a shoe, might as well be fancy like that. Do you know the name of this place ?

Runners High in downtown Arlington Heights fits shoes. That is where I get my shoes and yes they are close to $100 but well worth it. (My shoes last for close to 2 years.) Dick Pond Athletics will fit you also - they are a chain. I know of one on Roselle Rd in Schaumburg. Dick's sporting goods I have been told will fit you also. I would highly recommend that you go to one. They will watch you walk in your bare feet and see if you pronate, have a high arch or whatever. You are not getting a custom fit they are making recommendations as to the correct shoe for your foot type. I pronate with my gait and ever since (7+ yrs ago) I went to Runners High for shoes I never have a problem with my heal spurs and plantar fasciitis now since I wear them.

edited to add - the shoes that I replace I still end up wearing to do yard work or other chores around the house. The Brooks shoes that I get can be washed after you take the inside sole out.

Here's a place in downtown Naperville.  I found it on Yelp.com and they got rave reviews.

Good morning Steven and the rest of Illinois!

I am working today and David is not.  He would not get up and I was not going to fight with him or be late myself.  He will have to deal with the consequences.  Not MY problem.

We were without power a couple of times last night, but when I got up to feed the cat, I made wure I re-set the alarm so we got up (Todd, Liv and I anyway.......).  When pulling out of the driveway, I noticed that a huge limb had fallen between my garage and the neighbor's dog pen, damaging the pen.  There were also lots of other limbs down around town.  I slept like a baby through it all!

I am wishing Crystal GOOD LUCK on the interveiw!  It would be very nice for you to be able to be closer to Amanda.

I am hoping the rain stays away during lunch so that I can walk.  It always makes me feel better to MOVE.

Gotta get back to work!

Everyone have a splendid day!

Thanks a lot for the 411 on the custom fit shoes. I will most likely get them by the end of July. For now, Dr Scholls's is my friend. I have to be honest, the Sports Replacement Insoles have been wonderful. My feet do not hurt anymore. But I know that temporary. I really need decent shoes.

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

Well it was a dark and stormy night!  It really was violent out there!  At one point lightening hit so close to home that I literally jumped in bed!  I did not know it was possible to be totally relaxed one second and spooked the next!

I am looking forward to the weekend.  The weather is predicted to be mid 70's and sunny!  My kind of weather.

Today I am continuing decluttering and I have a PT appointment.  Other than that not much else.

Steven, glad you are feeling better today.  Maybe another day without working out is a good idea!  Ahmer, your feet are worth the money.  I am glad the insoles are helping!  I have always bought expensive shoes and most often the european brands.  I either go to The Walking Store or a Shoe store on Kirchoff Road in Rolling Meadows/Arlington Heights.  They are great for larger size feet.  Lisa, remember what the doctor said -- slow down!  Crystal, wishing you the best tomorrow!  You will definitely WOW them!  Dawn, positive vibes to you.  Good for you for making David's not showing up for work HIS problem as it is HIS!

Everyone have a great day!
