Wednesday Roll Call
Good Morning Illinois,
It looks to be another great day. Have a great one, since they are saying it will cool off tomorrow.
I had a very long, but interesting day yesterday. We drove up to EGV for my heart doctor appointment, had an echocardiogram done, then a cat scan, and finally saw the Dr. Everything is perfect!. No concerns, no new meds, just continue whatever it is I am doing, and see him in a year.his only concern, is that I am trying to do to much. Life is good.
The only downer was he was running over an hour late.
We then went to Sams, Americsales, stopped an ate something, then headed to the Att Store in Plainfield. No help there, so headed back to Naperville to the Apple Store. I haven't been able to use my Ipad eanywhere but in the house with WiFi. I knew I signed up for unlimited use with Att. Finally, at the Apple store, we were able to figure it out. The credit card we us, had expired, So, we pluged in the new one, and now we are doing fine.
I also made a stop at Wilton. Picked up a few things for baking with. I have never seen so much in baking supplies in my life. I was conserative, only spent $60.00. They are having a tent sale through the 21st.
By the way Steven, what time were you there? We had a 6:40 appointment.
All in all, it was a long day, and I was glad to get home.

Nancy, good luck with your new hearing aids. I am unable to use them, since I was born without an inner ear on my right ear.

Today, I have to take the car in for an annul checkup, then home to do some chores around here. I will try also to get some pool time in.

Hello everyone
Well good news!!!! I have an official interview Friday!!! The guy seems to really like me. I don't want to get ahead of myself but I think I have a really good chance of getting the job. It turns out we use the same accounting system....so that makes me more attractive because it will be less training time because I already know the system. My fingers are crossed. Of course it comes right around the time of Amanda's wedding and honeymoon so I might not have a whole lot of help. I might have to manage this move by myself. The good thing is I am planning on leaving a lot of my old furniture because I figured I will buy new when I get to my new place. So it won't be a lot of heavy stuff.
No migraines yesterday. I worked out just as hard as ever and nothing happened. So I am glad there.
Yesterday was one hot day...whew. But I won't complain because when I think of having to scrape windows and clean my car off and drive 10 mph to work because of the ice on the roads...I will take a Summer heat wave over a Winter blizzard anytime.
Lisa- you were out near me, that's quite a drive for you.

Morning, been a little absent and still might be in the upcoming weeks because now we get ready for our annual summer trip to the Dells beginning on the 19th. When we got home last night I had to catch up on the flower and veggie maintenance. I ditched the Topsy Turvys that I have had in the past as I feel they are a bunch of junk and they deteriorate after a year even though they say you can use them for several years. I took up Square Foot Gardening. My neighbor has done it for a few years and the method is real easy. I have 4 4X4 raised boxes and it is so easy to just reach 2' across a box to plant, weed or maintain the plants. I got the wood composite box kits at Home Depot last fall on sale.
Galena was just as hot as the rest of IL. Had a very relaxing time but the gnats are horrible there as are the skeeters there and at home already. Galena is usually an expensive weekend for us because there isn't any fridge or micro in any of the rooms at the DeSoto House Hotel so we have to eat all of our meals out. I did manage to loose 4# due to the no snacking and all of the up and down hill walking. The heat added to the not wanting to eat also.
I have Davey doing a few honey do's for me today and then it is home to unpack and do laundry.

Good morning all,
I worked cleaning buses yesterday in the heat, BIG mistake. I think I had heat exhaustion last night, and now today Uncle arthur isn't letting me do much.
Does any of you have major problems with arthritis since surgery? My family background in that department isn't so good, but it seems mine has gotten worse since surgery.
Hubby is gonna finish the pool today, and I think that might help.
