Sunday Roll Call
Jules
Congratulations to both of you! I am very happy for the two of you but very sad to see you moving. You know that once you are a member of the Illinois forum, you are always a member. We have one member who now lives in Florida but pops in for occasional meet and greets and on line postings.
You are very fortunate to have a job offer with Baskins and Robbins. Although that would not have been a problem for you since you have excellent work skills and are highly marketable. I think I would like Baskin/Robbins instead of Dunkin only because of Chocolate Mint chip ice cream. Yummm.
Traveling internationally will also be a plus. I dont know if you have done it or not, but once you do it, it will be in your blood. I went to Poland for a month for work with a former job and got bit by the travel bug. It is/was so exciting to explore another culture.
It was quick for Rob to find a job offer so he must be very talented as well. I am sure the two of you will set fires out west! Please keep in touch with us. You will be greatly missed. I hope you will still post on the daily roll call.

Thank you Nancy! I will still be here, as you guys have been such a great support for me. And with all the moving stress coming up, I will need the support even more!!!!!!
I traveled a lot for Dunkin-just not internationally. I am super excited about the opportunity to work with the other side of Dunkin and still have a job! I love ice cream which is going to be difficult!!!!
Rob is very talented and I'm so excited for him. He has wanted to go somewhere warm for years, I'm really glad we are able to do it at this time.
I will be here until probably August. Selling the house hopefully goes fast but with this market, I'm a little nervous!
Thanks again for the positive thoughts! And remember, you guys are stuck with me!

If you have trouble selling your house, check with Rob's new employer. In the past, some companies bought the homes of new employees if they had trouble selling them. Get a St. Joseph statue and bury it upside down in your yard. I have heard it really works and I know it did for my mom!

Crystal,
I am not catholic so I dont know the patron saint for getting a job or I would be praying to that dude right now!![](http://images.obesityhelp.com/_shared/images/smiley/msn/rofl2.gif)
The one for lost things is St Anthony. The saying I heard was "St. Anthony, St Anthony or (Tony Tony) look around, somethings lost and needs to be found."
As far as Polish foods I found it not too bad, just getting used to some wierd concepts. Breakfast was hard rolls (bread) with slices of ham, tomatoes, cheese, cottage cheese, pickled cucumbers, etc. They did a lot of pork products. Not a lot of fresh fruits and veggies. They ate what they produced. I am like you I want my beverages COLD! I did not have ice for a month and they were not refrigerated but I finally got used to it. I ended up drinking water with carbonation. You cant get it here in the states. It beat warm diet coke. I would love to find the same type of water here in the states. I too am a picky eater so it was interesting to say the least but we sterotype food from different cultures and they actually eat very differently from what the typical stereotype is.

Asia...WOW!!!
What would you be doing for the company?
I have never been a big one on traveling. I know this will sound stupid but I could never go to Asia because I hate Asian food. What would I eat??? I don't even like the smell. I think Internationally the only place I could go is to a few countries in Europe. I say a few because I hate Polish and Greek food. Yep...I am very, very picky. I still wouldn't be happy in Europe though...they serve their drinks room temperature....yuck. I hate warm or hot drinks. I like them cold. Even in the middle of Winter I drink my drinks cold. Weird I know...oh well I will stay here in the good ole' US.

Crystal,
I too am a picky eater. When we went to New York last year, Rob wanted to go to Chinatown and I really didn't due to the smells and food! So Asia might be tough since I can't eat rice anymore! But I also get to go to Austalia and they have normal food:)
I will be training franchisee's how to do the financial parts of the business. And then supporting them in the field. We have a large presense internationally so I may travel to more than that. I love to travel so I'm super excited! And I won't have to pay for it! Even better!
