Monday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I am here at work and I wish I was home. 

I haven't had any more issues with dizziness since Friday.  Is it possible that it's something at work making me dizzy???  I always thought this place was killing me slowly...hahaha.  

What a beautiful day it was yesterday.  I wi**** could be like that every day.  Amanda called me twice.  I have to admit I was a little jealous of her fiance's mother.  Amanda had to work but before work they all went on a morning stroll in the park and then after work they went to her house for dinner.  I was jealous Amanda didn't spend time with me on mother's day.  But I didn't let Amanda know my feelings.

Good Morning Crystal,

I will be off to work in about 15 min. I am working in town this morning. I did get the rest of the flowers planted yesterday. All of them in containers. Only one mishap. I went to move the one clay pot, and it totally cracked in half. So, I had to replant it. Then when Monica and her family came, we went to a park and took a short hike. Mexican for dinner, then home to watch Sunday evening tv. It was a good day. 

BTW, I only have 12 more work days until I am off for the summer. No 

Crystal, I know it was great to talk to Amanda twice yesterday. Hopefully, by next Mothers Day, you will be closer to her.

My thoughts are going out to Janet K this morning. She will be having a rough wee****il the memorial for her Eddie.

BTW, I only have 12 more work days until I am off for the summer, then I will go back sometimes in the last week of August.

Morning ladies and belated Happy Mother's Day. I have been lurking due to busyness at home. Saturday I had a baby shower and yesterday I played the "weekend warrior" person with doing yard work. Got my raised beds finally put together in the back forty and most of the dirt transferred from the containers. In addition to that I had the lawn to mow - Just the middle yard as the rest had been done on prior days. Since our yard is so large we have to do it in increments.

I have a meeting to go to tonight called "Shape of Itasca" it is a meeting that citizens can go to and hear the financial status of all the taxing bodies (fire, village, library, school district, public works etc) and the citizens can ask questions and express concerns. It is held at the local Holiday Inn. It is always orderly and people are respectful.

I understand the "wish I was home" feeling as I am feeling the same.

Amber had terrible Vertigo when she was in high school and I think she is still bothered by it occasionally.  Glad to hear the motion sickness medicine helped.  As I remember, there really wasn't much else she could do for it.

I had a very busy weekend and everything worked out well.  David's date loved her flowers and they had a good time at Prom.  Olivia had a great time at her party and lots of her friends came over.  The adults were very quiet and let the kids have a ball.  Lots of dancing in the driveway!

Yesterday, Amber came out and took me to a nursery to buy me a "Miss Kim" dwarf lilac bush that I have been wanting for years.  I plan to put it by my back door as they smell WONDERFUL and I want that yummy smell as you enter my house.  We also bought a few flowers but it was still pertyy cold and I was afraid to plant.  NOW, I see that the next few days are supposed to be over 80 with rain.....perfect for new plants!

Later, the family and I went to Monroe to "Pancho & Lefty's" which has spectacular food.  The owners used to be chef and nanny to Ben Affleck & Jennifer Garner!

We have to get David's tux back to the rental place and I have a theater meeting tonight.  Then, I will need to gear-up for David's 18th Birthday, which is Sunday.  He is also supposed to graduate on the 24th, so this is a busy month for us.

Afternoon everyone!

Rob was to have an interview in CA today but his flight got cancelled at 445am.  The travel agent couldn't get him on another one so now he is going Wednesday.  Keep your fingers crossed!

Weekend was nice.  The boys made me homemade gifts which I adore.  To see them be creative is so cool.  They obviously did not get the creativity gene from me though!  I'm not creative at all!

Went for a bike ride with my older son yesterday.  That was great.  Such a beautiful day!

Busy day at work today.  I was working from home but actually had a lot to do.  Tomorrow at an all day meeting, but it's a fun meeting so I don't mind!

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

What a lovely day we had yesterday!  I could take more days just like that.  I enjoyed the sunshine and fresh air.  Today, the temp has been great but the sun has been playing hide and seek.  

I have had a busy afternoon.  I went and got a back x-ray for my 1 month post op check up on Wednesday and then went to see an Ear, nose and throat doctor to have my hearing checked.  I am hearing 92% of what is being said which I guess is enough loss to qualify for a hearing aide.  I might find I can follow conversations better and not seem so stupid!  

Then it was off to the dermatologist to find out that I have poor circulation in my legs.  Thanks to getting older both the hearing loss and the loss of circulation are "normal"  But they are a pain in the rear!  I HATE getting old!  

Oh, the other news is my supervisor called me this morning and told me she is going back to human resources and they will find someone else for the supervisor position.  I cant say I am disappointed but I do like the person, just not as a supervisor.  Work should be a little better now.  
I am enjoying staying home and really like it.  Would love to figure out how to make it permanent.
