Thursday Roll Call

Morning/day all. Yesterday was Administrative Assistant Day. The 3 top cops, the secretary and me will go to the DuPage Chief's meeting at Mike Ditka's restaurant in Oak Brook today. The Coach speaks to the group and the ladies are treated to a lunch out and a raffle where everyone gets a gift that being a gift certificate or tickets to a play at Drury Lane.

Looking forward to having Vickie join us on the Looser's Bench. She is on her way to being healthier!

What is the good word in your corner of IL? Where is Dee S? She came in a couple weeks ago and disappeared again.

Hello everyone

I am so glad the end of the week is so close.  I am very ready to get this year end done.  I have been working lots of overtime and working out and I feel like there's isn't much time for anything else.  I leave my house at 5:30am and start work at 6am....work till 6pm...and then workout for 60 minutes.  I get home it's 7:45.  By the time I get dinner going and take a shower it's 8:30 or later before I can sit and relax....that doesn't include errands or chores....ugh!!!

Today I wore my light khaki pants and a baby blue blouse.  Well my black dress shoes doesn't match this outfit...so I found my brown shoes.  Well after just walking around in them for a short while my ankles were hurting.  With me trying to run I don't need to make myself sore from shoes.  So I put on my gym shoes...and watch some one say something to me about wearing gym shoes...gym shoes aren't permitted except on Fridays.  Oh well let them say something I will get a note from the doctor...so there!!!!

Christine- I hope they find whatever it is they need to find to make you feel better. 

Another gloomy day...but tomorrow looks promising!!!  Have a wonderful day.  

 

The test will help bring closer to ending the BS that I have lived with for about 5 years. It sucks to be a woman and age!

Running late again today. I have to stop reading in the bathroom.

Nothing today, then off to St. Lois on Sat. morning for a Sunday Wedding. I do hope it is warmer down there, since I have a cap sleeved dress and stacked sandals to wear.

Good morning Chris and the rest of Illinois!

Administrative Professionals Day?  TOTALLY ignored here.  Yesterday was actually one of the worst days I have had since my family members started working here.  Running through my mind are the words, "Hostile Work Environment", "Smoking indoors is against the law", "going Postal"...........  It was terrible.  I came in this morning with a good attitude, hoping for a better day and it was good.......until SHE showed up with her crappy attitude and sour disposition.  Things need to SERIOUSLY change somehow.  Problem is, with so many out of work, I can't just leave......and if I DO use any of those phrases, it will be a big legal mess.

Oh well.  Can't do anything today.

On another note, my neice is in the hospital having her first baby.  That is exciting!

Tonight, Todd is taking me to dinner and a drawing that he qualified for.  Keep him in your thoughts about 7:00-7:30 pm.  If he wins the big prize, it is a "Man Cave" full of all sorts of cool stuff, including a big screen TV!  This is the third time he has qualified for one of these big drawings so I am hoping that "3rd time's a charm".

First off I would like to thank Christine n you others for the wonderful statement(s).

This morning I called and got my first visit with the sugeron set up for June 9th.  Next wk I will call my pcp(she is on vacation this wk) to set up my sleep study test.  I am on the waiting list to see the psychitarist for my psych evalution(should hear in about a month or 2).  I am down 18 lbs since Jan. this will show them I am tryin.  I wanna lose weight slowly that is why I picked the band,but not the rate I am goin now.

Update on me:still looking at lupus. did some more hardcore lupus testing in stead of just a screening plus rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma, mixed connective tissue tests, polymyalgia rheumatica & other autoimmune/connective tissue tests, retesting all vits & minerals & thyroid plus some "poop tests" for c diff & some other bacteria & tummy issues. Results should be in next week. Lowered beta blockers because of severe hypotension (on them for migraines), added pills for fibro, adjusted migraine meds. Back in 3 weeks.  Doc was concerned about dehydration due to the amount of diarrhea I have been having and said no amount of Powerade type drink was going to replace what I was losing in electrolytes and it was probably making the hypotension worse.  I'm under strict orders to head to the ER at the first signs of dehydration or if the diarrhea continues even with the meds they gave me.  My resting heart rate is in the 40's and when I stand up my BP drops to 80/60.  So that's been my last few days!  How is everyone else doing?!

I can sympathize with you on the diarrhea. I get it with my microscopic colitis. I also have a different type of "dumping syndrome" due to it. Not RNY dumping. Food goes right through me. They did a barium test and found the colitis/gastric dumping syndrome.

What do you do for the diarrhea?  Any suggestions on how to treat it?  I am at a loss!  I am so miserable and in so much pain and discomfort!

What you are describing also sounds miserable!  I hope the docs have found a treatment that works to relieve your symptoms!
