Thursday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Happy Friday Eve!!!

I am excited because I tried a new breakfast (I know shocker) and I really like it.  It was very simple...Kashi Go Lean waffle and turkey sausage patty.  It was very filling...OMG!!!  I think one waffle might be too much.  Tomorrow it will be half of a waffle      

Anyway yesterday I wandered onto the Farmer's Almanac website and according to them it will be a rainy April.  Pretty much rain almost every day till the end of the month....BUT!!!  May looks wonderful!!!  Yeah!!!!  I can't wait till May.  Just to be downer I will mention.... they are predicting another cold, snowy winter for 2011.

Oh and yesterday I didn't have to go to McDonald's.  It was optional to go so I opted out of going.  They can go eat McDonald's and clog their arteries and gain weight, but Not me!!!

Good for you Crystal. After many years of always agreeing with everyone else where to go, I also have recently started to say no to places I know are bad for me.

I am hoping for a good outcome for Janet and her Eddie. They have both been through so much healthwise.

this is my Friday. Plans for the the weekend include making cutout cookies to take to our daughter Annettes for Easter.

Good morning all,
Today I am playing hookey from work.  I was just feeling mentally drained!!  I have the sick days available, so I figured why not.  Other than the surgery, I have not missed many days.  The joys of having kids old enough to be home when they are sick.  I figured, low fever, head cold, they are pretty much on their own.  Any major illness I will be here.  I know I am a bad mom!!
Today, I am just resting for now.  I have had a few shows on my tivo since beginning of April I have never watched.  So that is what I am doing. 
In a few minutes I need to go out to payless and get some sandals for my girl.  Tonight, I am helping to chaperon my daughter's drama trip to the Marriott for dinner theater.  We will be seeing 42nd Street.  The play I am looking forward to, but not the dinner.  Last yr it was huge!  I ordered the chicken.  I will just eat what I know I can and enjoy the fun!

If you're a bad mom than so am I.  From about the age of 12 on if my daughter was sick she stayed home...I went to work.  I always made sure she had everything she needed and made her a bed on the couch.  We had a tradition...when she was sick I would stop on my way home from work and pick her up potato soup in a bread bowl and a green tea from Panera.  She looked forward to it.

I know I am not truly a bad mom.  The reality is when they are sick, all they want to do is watch TV and veg on the couch.  Personally, I do not need to be home when they are like that.  My kids are 16 and 13.  They are capable of blowing their own nose, taking their temps and drinking fluids.  
Today my son, was trying to get me to let him stay home with me.  That was a huge NO!!  This is my chill day.  I made him go to school!  Hehehehehe!

Well after last weeks stomach stretching procedure I am starting to be able to eat solid food again.  So I am grateful for that!  Making a pot roast tonight so it would be really nice if I can eat some of it!
