Tuesday Roll Call
Hello everyone
Well my excitement for the day yesterday was coming home and seeing my neighbor get arrested for drunk driving!!! I knew she was kind of a loser but this was beyond what I ever thought she was. I watched them give her the sobriety tests...which some of them are kind of hard (yes I was in my apartment trying them out too...I'm a dork). She obviously flunked because they handcuffed her and took her away. There was a kid in the car with her too!!! So she was drunk driving with a kid!!! He looked to be about 13-14 years old...I think she was giving him beer too!!! Because I watched as the officer searched her car and he pulled out a paper bag and then he pulled out two cans of beer. He then took both cans and dumped them out before he bagged them up for evidence. But I was thinking why would she have two half open cans of beer??? Unless the kid was drinking a beer too...you know what I mean. What a loser. I hate drunk drivers with a passion, they kill so many innocent people. I called the landlord and told her what happened...I think there is a law that allows a landlord to evict if a felony is done on her property. I don't want to live by people like that...some might think that's mean but I have very strong feelings about drunk drivers (not too mention my mom was a serial drunk driver).
After all that excitement I have nothing else to say....except the weather is crappy...hahaha.
I hope my day goes by fast and I come home to no criminals being arrested...a girl can dream can't she...hahaha Have a great day- Bye

Good Morning,
What happened to Spring???? I for one am sick of this crap.
Your neif=ghbor wasn't on the property, she was on the street. I don't think landlords can evict for that. BTW, we are landlords.
Work was crazy yesterday. I am hoping for a better day today.
Have a safe and dry day.
Hugs,
LISA

Well, not really. It could become a felony DUI if she was driving on a suspended license due to a prior DUI. As far as the open liquor - more than likely they were hers. Drunks forget what they have open. It is not uncommon for it to be poured out. Who wants to transport open liquor in your squad car? Especially if it has the possiblity of falling over and stinking up your car. I think that you are only surmising that she is giving liquor to the kid - but the apple does not fall far from the tree and the kid is more than likely drinking. The field sobriety tests (FST) are not something that one has to do perfectly and yes they are somewhat difficult to do even sober. FST's have standards that the officer looks for to determine the possible extent of the person's inebriation. It is part of the probable cause for arrest.
There are several ways that you can find out what has happened and they are: file a FOIA. You are entitled to know what happened, find out what her name is and go on your county's public website and look up the charges or watch the papers to see what might be in a police blotter or an article. One thing that you need to keep in mind is that our constitution guarantees the person to be innocent until proven guilty. It is hard for me to keep that in mind even when the scum bags come to my window.

Good morning,
I know we all have said it, but what a crappy day!!!!!!! We were teased with that 80 degree day a couple weeks ago. And I have to go out today for a meeting. Yuck!
I have emails and a couple calls this morning then I'm off to meet my boss and her boss to discuss the new opening I'm handling in Milwaukee. Both are awesome people so it should be a fun meeting. Then I'm going to Goodwill on my way home to get some pants. I'm officially out of pants that fit me:) I also need to find an outfit for my son's 8th grade graduation. I think I will stop at Kohl's for that.
Rob is working for a friend of ours while he is still looking. Calls keep coming in, but no offers yet. Keeping my fingers crossed!
Hope Nancy is ok. Getting worried about her!
Crystal-I had a father and brother that drank and drive and I hated it. We just had a co-worker get a DUI and she was fired (in a co car).
Hope you all have a good day!
Take care,
Jules

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!
Very exciting Crystal.
My aunt passed this morning a little after 4 am. Many family members were present, although I was home. She is no longer suffering and I am glad about that. She was an awesome woman and lived a very full life. She is a HUGE part of the woman I eventually became. I wish her peace. The hospital had a very apt quote posted, "Rather than mourn the absence of the flame, let us celebrate how brightly it burned"--author unknown. This is EXACTLY how I feel.
Thank you all for your good thoughts and prayers.
I will be working today and tomorrow (as far as I know right now) and the funeral stuff will be Thursday and Friday.
Everyone have a wonderful day.
