I would so appreciate if someone could tell me if Illinois Medicaid will cover
DS (Duodenal Switch) surgery at UIC...

Ive looked and seen a list of Doctors but not DS IDPA insurance information unless I missed it..

Okay, so I do not get this incorrect - UIC is different than University of Chgo, correct? There is a doctor at the later that does DS and accepts medicare, Dr Vivek Prachand & Alverdy. I am not sure if that is the same insurance as you have, sorry for the ignorance. On the top of page 3 of the sticky post is info regarding these doctors.
Call the hospital you want to go to and see if they have a doctor that takes the insurance, you might want to inquire about Dr Vitello.
Be very aware of the waiting list that you might encounter. You might want to read through some more of the sticky post and see if there is a doctor and hospital that might better suit you.
