Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

It's Friday...time to do a happy dance!!!  And...I lost two more pounds...more happy dances!!!

My plans for the day are simple....work, workout, Walmart, Chipotle, home!!!!  I am excited about those plans!!!  Well not really but I don't have to work tomorrow so who cares.  

I will make it a point to go outside this Sunday because it will be the most Summer like day we have had in like 5-6 months.  Maybe I will take a nice walk to the Fox River.   

Dawn- I hope the show went well...though I'm sure it did.  I wanted to tell you painting props sounds like fun and kind a stress releaser...but I could be wrong since I never sis it before.

Nancy- Here's to a new and improved back...may you have a fast and painless recovery. 

Better get going....I need to get this day moving so I can go home...hahaha.  Have a great day- Bye

Good  Friday Morning,

I have 3 whole days, before I go back to work. Of course, I will be working at home over this weekend.

I have to call my boss this morning. I didn't receive my milage check yesterday. I really don't know how that happens, since they got everything else.  I am sure it will work out, it just means I won't have it to use this weekend.

Crystal, you have good plans for the weekend too.

Nancy, I am so glad this back surgery is happening for you today.

Dawn, I know you are so proud of both your kids and thier accomplishments.

Julie, I hope Charlie  is ok.

Good morning Crystal, Lisa and the rest of Illinois!

Olivia was AWESOME in her show last night.  The show itself.......Not so sure.  It may be my hearing problem (deaf in right ear) but whenever I go to shows at the high school, I can not understand 90% of what is being said/sung on stage.  Makes it kind of hard to follow the story.  Oh well, Liv was great...lots of energy and smiles!

Tonight is David's opening.  The theater is a bit more formal than the high school.  We have the Board Members do the ushering and other jobs and a "reception" following.  I am excited.

So, I just have to get this day behind me......

Dawn, I have diminished hearing in both ears and I find that when in a large setting with noise or like where you were last night I have to strain to hear what is being spoken. I find that the noises in the room just echo and reverberate all around me and it is then just noise to my ears. I usually zone out to my surroundings. Dave gives me a hard time and says I can't hear anything when in fact it is that it is all noise to me. Very frustrating.

This is the color our grass has been getting with all the rain we have had. I am not looking forward to all the lawn mowing that is for sure.

We found out on Wednesday that Dave has a hernia the size of a grapefruit and it needs to be fixed now rather than later. Oh Joy! The Kane Center office girl that was to call Dave back did not do so 4 hours after he left a message, go figure. So Chris said call again and he cannot get in until the 21st. Well, while at support group last night Chris was talking to PJ (who used to work there) about it and she worked some magic for us and he will get in next week. I do not think the doctors in that group even has a clue as to what transpires in the day to day operations of the clinic. He just needs to be slipped in between apts. to be checked and get the ball rolling to schedule surgery.

We are going to find a fish fry somewhere other than where we usually go for tonight and then it is home to just relax.

Crystal, hopefully Sunday will be nice in the sun dept also to go with the temps. For now they are saying it is to be cloudy. Saturday is supposed to be the sunnier day.

DAVE UPDATE: IT IS GOOD TO KNOW SOMEONE IN HIGH PLACES. DAVE IS SCHEDULED FOR THE HERNIA REPAIR ON MONDAY.

Chris, Hubert had 2 hernia repasirs on the same day a couple of years ago. Just make sure he relaxes and stays down for a couple of weeks.

I am totally deaf in my right ear. When we go to plays ect., I try to sit on  the left side, so the speakers are closer to my "good" ear.

Lisa, Dave has had a hernia repair when he had his skin removal. He also is a good patient and follows the orders of the medical staff. More than likely they will keep him in the hospital because he is on Coumadin and they will have to restart that and do INR's on him.
