Sunday Roll Call

Hello everyone

I'm eating breakfast and watching...yep you guessed it...Law & Order...I'm nothing if not predictable.  My daughter says I'm the most predictable person she's ever known

Last night I stayed up till 3am reading my book.  I get so obsessed with my books and I HAVE to finish them.  Then I'm sad when they're done.  Well I finally had to go to sleep 50 pages till the end...so I will have that book done today.

I have nothing that has to be done today except taking my laundry down and folding it.  I know today is supposed to be warm but stormy.  I was thinking if it's not too stormy I might drive over to work/ gym and work out.  For those that don't know I am very lucky to have access to a gym for free at work.  It's nothing fancy but it gets the job done...hahaha.

So what does your day look like???

Have a great day...bye

Good Morning,

Besides the fact that it looks like it could  raain at any moment, it is looking like a good day.

I really don't have to much to do today either. Just fold and put away laundry, make a nice dinner, clean up the kitchen and wash the blinds in our bedroom.

We really enjoyed ourselves yesterday. We met  our kids at Dell Rhea Chicken Basket for a late lunch/early dinner. Before that, we made a small donation to the casino in Joliet.  We then brought home Morgan for the the night. She was having a good time with her friend Ashley, who lives next door to me.

Life is Good.

Hugs,
LISA

Good morning!

I made breakfast for the kids.  That is all I plan on doing today!  I will get on the treadmill but that doesn't count:)

Lisa-glad you had a nice time last night.  It's great to get together with family.

Crystal-I'm the same way with reading books!  I have to fini**** (I can read an average book in two hours) but feeling like I have nothing to do after I finish.  If you like thrillers, have you read Harlan Coben?  I love his books!  Also, my very favorite is 19 minutes by Jodi Poccult.

I'm going to read a book today and relax.  Hope you all have an enjoyable day!!!!!

Take care,

Julie

I went on Coben's website and his books are just the kind of books I like.  Which one would you suggest I read first or which one is your favorite.  I love Dean Koontz books.

Hello everyone. Sorry to be a little scarce. I was lurking but just did not have time to post anything.

Thank you for all the comments and prayers regarding my nephew's fire. He is going to be alright. They can rebuild the garage portion of the house and the rest needs to be taken down to the studs and rebuilt. They were placed at a local hotel with kitchen facilities.

We are still looking for a a recliner love seat with a console table combo and we think that we have settled on the Braxton from La z Boy.

I have been busy with plans for my open house. If anyone would like an invite mailed to them send me a PM with your address. I do have an event on FB. I will have to research if I can resend an event via FB to an individual, me not too smart with FB at times, LOL.

We went to Hickory River for Texas brisket today. I had given the info for this place to Randy who hails from TX - Oh my word was it fantastic! We brought a combo meal home and have more for another meal for both. Hickory River is in Glendale Heights.

Don't worry too much.  Everything will be fine.  It's common to freak out.  I didn't have any freak out moments but I seem to be in the minority.  As for packing everything you need.  I think we tend to over pack.  I packed a robe and slippers but ended up wearing what they gave me.  I packed a book to read but was so groggy from the anesthesia and pain meds that I kind of just stared at the TV and drifted in and out of sleep(I tend to be very sensitive to pain meds).  I packed toiletries but just used what the hospital had in the bathroom.  I would say make sure you have nice roomy comfy clothes to wear home and a pillow for the ride home.  It's good for when the car goes over bumps in the road.

Good luck!!!  Check in after you get home.

You are in very good hands with your doctor. Dr Pete did my husband's RNY 7 1/2 years ago.
