Wednesday Roll Call

Good morning everyone!!!!!

It appears to be nice out......sun is shining!  I understand it's a little cold, but at least we have sunshine!

Nurse comes today and then off to the doctor for my 3 month blood work.  I have not been the greatest at taking my vitamins so it may be a not so great check up!

Nothing else going on for me today.  I hope everyone can enjoy a little sunshine today!

Good Morning!

We lost one of our cats Gremlin last night.  I had her for over 18 years.  She did not suffer at all last night but I will miss her greatly.  She had been through  alot with me.  Morgan is very upset also.  I had Gremlin since before she was born.  Its alot different for her losing a cat vs. losing the hamster or hermit crab.  So we are taking it easy today and talking alot about Gremlin.

Other than that yesterday I passed an exam for the State of Illinois-finally!  I also made my sales goal for the month. 

My daughters group Rainbow Girls (Masonic youth group) is helping at the Midwest Food Bank tonight.  I am going and am also trying to convince Scott to go also.

Other than that, not much more going on.  Might try to do some laundry today but will see how I feel later in the day.

So sorry to hear about one of your cats:(  I feel for you and your family!

Hello everyone

I am at work as always.  Today me and couple of managers are going to store at lunch to pick up some supplies.  It's year end for us and we want to do some fun things for the department to motivate everyone and also to thank everyone for their hard work.  So every Friday in April we are going to have some theme and treat...and on the 15th and the 29th we are going to give away gift cards (we decided on iTunes and gas gift cards).  So this Friday we are going to have a NASCAR theme and the banner will say "Race To The Finish" and we will have hotdogs and popcorn...stuff you eat at NASCAR.  On the 22nd we are going to have a bunny theme (because of Easter) and the Banner will say "We're Really Hopping Along" and we are going to give everyone a little Easter basket with candy.  I think it's great they're finally doing something fun for the employees.   

BUT...there's always a but.  Afterward we are eating at Mcdonald's.  I never eat at fast food places anymore (except Chipotle).  So I am thinking great I will be forced to cheat.  I can't eat salad and chicken is "if-y" for me...I don't want to go out with them and have to excuse myself because I have to PB.  So I looked it up and a simple cheeseburger is 300 calories (lots of carbs though-maybe I will pick away most of the top bun).  So I will have a cheeseburger...that will be enough for me.  The funny thing is I know for a fact two of the three people I am going with are trying to lose weight and they choose Mcdonalds???  A place that 98% of their menu items are no-no's...even most of the salads are high in calories, fat and carbs.  Oh well, I am just obsessed with healthy food now.

Monica- I am very sorry about your kitty.  He had a nice long life.  

Jules- I am terrible about taking my vitamins.  If you have a phone you can try setting reminders for yourself.  That is what I'm trying now.

I saw some more coupons for Kohl's and JCP (I think I did!) on slickdeals.net again.  I go there daily to see the specials.......we save a lot of money on that site!  Don't know if you are done shopping now or not but wanted to let you know it's out there!

Monica, so sorry about Gremlin.  I know the sadness that comes with losing a pet.  We might lose David's dog too.

Working today, then to the theater to "manage the house".  Hopefully, I can get that done and be home by 8 for "Criminal Minds".  I miss my show.  I don'****ch much TV, but I like that one.

I agree about enjoying the sunshine!  Someone needs to let MOnther Nature know that Spring should be here!

Today is going from bad to worse and it is only 9am. It all started with a stupid "Green Meeting" (the village is going green, who cares!) that I had to be here for at 530am to a stupid drunk that just called me and told me he was going to sue me over a must appear ordinance violation. Tree huggers and drunks are not on my "Like" list at the moment.

I am off of my soap box now. The one good thing is that I get to leave here at 2pm instead of 3pm.

Back to work for me.

Thank you for the offer. They are supposedly living in a hotel with a kitchen. I put feelers out to provide them some meals but have not heard anything yet. The are fiercely private people and more than likely will only take a little bit of help and more then likely it will be from someone other than family. Oh, ya gotta love family dynamics!

We went over to the house yesterday and were taken inside by my nephew to view the damage. The whole portion of the house were the fire started in the garage and the area above it will be torn off and rebuilt. The house is a tri level. He has been inundated with "vulture rehab" companies and one drove up when we were there. They think the fire started with an electrical short in the car. Here are a couple of pictures.

Monica - I am so sorry to hear about you cat.  I do not know what I will do when I lose my pets.  I have 2 labs and 1 cat.  It is amazing how much they become part of our lives. 
Jules- taking the vitamins is so hard to remember.  I have my computer at work and home scheduled to remind me to take the calcium.  The daily vitamin, D and Biotin I take with my breakfast.  It is after that I need help with.

So I have a funny story to tell all of you.  With the weight loss my old bathing suit needed to be replaced.  It was a size 28.  So I bought one (online) at a size 20.  I figured that would be small enough and still give me room to go (shrinking).  Yesterday the suit arrived and I was so excited to participate in water aerobics.  So my daughter and I go off to the gym after dinner.  I put my suit on and I thought I actually looked good.  (Who would have thought I would like how I looked in a suit).  So this suit is a tankini  with the pants actually more like a skort.  The color black, and I am very happy till I start the jumping.  While jumping I felt very little support on the girls.  Then the girls felt like they were free-er then they should be, I look down AND there right before my eyes and I am sure others, my girls were playing "Peek-a-boo"  I was so embarrassed!!!  I had to keep tying the back straps together!!  Not a fun but funny evening.  Now, I need another suit.  I can not believe the 20 was too big!!  I have worn the suit so I can not return it!!  Who knows, maybe I will sell it used on ebay!  I just wanted to share my funny happening.
