Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Friday is here!!!  Yeah!!!  I do have to stay extra late because it's the last day of month end.  So today I will be working, working out, going Meijer for groceries, then Chipotle...yum!!!

I lost ONE pound...thus ending my two week plateau...I was hoping for something more dramatic...but I will take any loss, even a pound.  My workout yesterday went well.  No pain, no feeling of a migraine.  I am hoping the higher dosage of the migraine medicine will work for me.

I do have that job that seems to be interested in me.  For some odd reason they seem to want to negotiate pay up front.  So I have only communicated with them via email.  If they can come close to my salary I will take the job.  I don't need to make more.  The rent is cheaper down there so I can break even.  I really hope they accept my final pay offer.  We shall see.  Keep your fingers crossed.  It's for an awesome organization and I would love to work for them, because after everything that happened to my friend and the sexual harassment incident I feel that the corporation I work for is morally bankrupt.

Here's to hoping the day goes by quickly...have a great day.

Good morning Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

Crystal, is this job in Champaign?  If so, good luck!  Actually, if it is something you want, no matter where....good luck.  I know that you have been unhappy at your current job for quite a while.

I am hoping the day goes by fast and smooth.  I have a date with my hubby and it can't get here fast enough!  We are going to a Caribbean place in Madison called Jolly Bob's.  We need to spend time together occasionally and it does not happen often enough.  Of course in a few years, the kids will be gone and we will have plenty of time together!

That's about it for me at the moment!

Everyone have a spectacular day!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good Morning,

Blue ink seems to be it for the day. It will remain cold for the weekend :(

Crystal, Good luck with the salary  negotiations for the new position. You SHOULD get what you want.

I just updated my Ipass. I am not using it very much now, since Dr. Gusti has his office in Hoffman. I don't need to go all the way to EGV orArlington Heights.

I also just finished cleaning the living room/rec room. Payed a bill, and now will clean the office. Then, my problem child, the kitchen:(

No big plans for the weekend. Just going out for supper later tonight.
I also have a few errands to do.

Have a great day, stay safe and warm,

Hugs,
LISA

Good morning,

Yesterday was filled with mammogram and pap.  All is good so far!

Picking up my new glasses today.  Grocery shopping, making a pot roast (since Dawn made one and it sounded good), prescription pick up and a pick up of a box at Dunkin.  Busy day!  I also have to pick up my boys today as well.

Crystal, I hope the job works out for you!  New job can be very exciting!

Dawn, have fun on your date!

That's it for me-off to do errands!

Take care,

Jules

I was going to say good morning but it is just about afternoon.

Crystal, we have never been to a Chipotle maybe one of these days. One place we want to get to is a place that I suggested to Randy for Texas BBQ called Hickory River. They have been advertising on the local TV channels here.

The day is more than 1/2 over for me. Go to lunch shortly and then home. We might go out to eat with my neice and family for dinner. I suggested sushi or we might meet 1/2 way btwn here and Elgin.

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

I think I missed a couple days here.  I came home exhausted the last couple of days but am feeling close to human today.

Yesterday, I was feeling really down and I finally figured out what I dont like about my job;.  I never could really pin point it before but now I have.  I think my company expects everyone to do everything perfectly with no room for errors.  Well, I am human.  When you make an error, you get coached on it.  But you rarely get any positive feed back.  They gloss over that and the focus is on what you do wrong.  Plus they expect you to know how to do everything regardless on whether anyone ever trained you on it or corrected you on it before.  And if you know you made an error, there is no way to correct that error and you will end up being coached about it even though you already know you did wrong and it still counts against you.  The system will not allow for corrections so it you hit the wrong key, sorry, you lose.  GRRRR.  It then depends on your supervisor as to how much of an issue they will make of that error and usually it is a great deal.

No wonder I am frustrated.  But at least I know why now.  It is no matter how good you do your job, you are always going to be doing stuff wrong.

Crystal, congratulations on the weight loss on your 2 year anniversary!  You have achieved a great accomplishment with your band!  That is above the norm!

No special plans for the weekend other that finally tacking taxes.  Have a great weekend everyone!

 Crystal

I have many different recipes that I use to make my ice cream.  I got most of my ideas from one of our OH peeps who has a web site  www.theworldaccordingtoeggface.com    She has all kinds of neat ideas on her website besides ice creams.

I use a Cusinart freezer.  I have the kind that you keep the container in the freezer so no ice or salt is needed to process the ice cream.  My basic recipe is::

In a blender container place:

3 scoops protein powder (I generally use vanilla)
Fill the container to the 3 cup line with milk  (I use soy milk. )
Add desired flavorings.  Usually I use Divincci syrup or other sugar free syrup that you find in the coffee aisle at Walmart or Target.  Usually a couple TBSP.  IE  Strawberry, raspberry, etc
8 frozen strawberries  ( I find this makes the mixture super cold and makes a better ice cream.

Puree all ingredients until smooth.  Pour into the ice cream freezer and freeze according to manufacturers directions. about 20 minutes.  I then take ziplock bowls and put in chopped fresh or frozen fruit in each bowl.  I pour the ready ice cream into each bowl, add a lid and freeze.  To serve, I pop in the microwave for 15 - 20 seconds.

For chocolate ice cream I use chocolate protein powder, sugar free Hersey's syrup, chocolate flavored liquer, then bananas for the fruit.
