Oh, it is the wearing of the green day! This is a day that we stay home because there are too many people on the road that do not know how to hold their liquor.

I step out of the building today and walk over to the firehouse for a corned beef lunch. They also have a firefighter that plays the bag pipes and him and a couple other pipers put on a contest.

That is about it in a nut shell - what is happening in your corner of IL?

Happy St. Pat's Day To Everyone.

The Corn Beef is in the crockpot. It will be ready when we get home tonight, All I will have to do is pop the cabbage in a pan and cook it.

I also feel that St. Patricks day is the turning point in getting to the spring weather. Hopefully I am right.

I will be so glad when it will be light when I wake up. This month is going to kill me with the dark mornings.

BTW, I had a client call yesterday, to ask if we were going to be open today, since it is a holiday. I told her yes, even the kids have school. She was quiet for a second, then said all programs should be closed and so should the schools, and she was keeping her kids home today.  I don't think it was a full moon.

Be careful out there today.

Hugs, LISA

Lisa, your corn beef and cabbage sounds so yummy! I'd love to have some. Send it though OH. LOL!!

I am taking some "me" time this afternoon and evening, heading up to Indiana at the Blue Chip. I have a free overnight stay and taking advantage of it. I will be careful driving there and home in the morning.

Happy St. Patrick's Day to you and your family!

Hugs and Love,

Hi Lisa. I had a great time at the casino. Lots of people; some decked out in their green for the holiday.

Everyone loved my tee shirt and accessories! Now it's back to work.

I had a half of a corned beef sandwich for lunch yesterday. So I did get some after all. Thanks for the invite though!

Hugs,
Lucy

I did my corned beef dinner on Sunday sans cabbage because it does not agree with my insides and Dave cannot have it due to taking Coumadin. I do mine in the CP also but we cook it in the garage so it does not stink up the house.

Good morning Christine and IL family.

I am working a half day then going to Indiana for St. Patrick's day fun.

My sister is still in the hospital on TPN and is NPO. She still has the nausea, acidic stomach and does vomit at times. The docs keep telling her that she had a post-op ileus and her bowels need time to wake up. Gosh, how long does that take?? I am at my wits end and don't know what to say to my sis or my mom. It's one week and a day since her second surgery. She is sick and tired of feeling this way and being in the hospital. She feels like she is never going to recover from this. I try to be supportive but I, too am wondering how long this is going to take.

I need this afternoon and evening for some "me" time. Work has been awful and my boss is clamping down on me. I feel like running away from everything and everybody. I know that is awful but that is how I feel right now.

So, yes I am dressed up in St. Patrick's colors and garb today. Green teeshirt, socks with shamrocks, shamrock earrings, necklace that lights up, 2 rings that light up, a green shamrock watch and a green tiara in my hair. I am wearing a long red wig too. Also wearing green nailpolish with a topcoat that has green sparkles in it.

Having some corned beef for lunch today.

Wishing everyone a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

Hugs and Love,
Lucy
