 Hello all!  I am scheduled to get my lapband on 4/19/11.  I am getting the surgery at the Illlinois Bariatric Center in Champaign, IL.  Is there anyone on this board who has had surgery with Dr. Rohrsheib (spelling?)?  I am impressed so far, but was wondering what kind of experiences others have had post-op?

Hello welcome to the board. 

I am looking to move to Champaign as soon as I can find a job.  It's good to know there is a good bariatric center down there.  Do you know if they take on other doctor's patients if they move?  I love my doctor but I don't think I want to drive 2.5 hours to see him...and what happens if I have an emergency. 

I am not for sure if htey do or do not.  I am sure they do.  They are SUPER friendly and accomodating.  I have been really impressed so far with them.  CHampaign would be a great place to live!  I do not think I would want to drive 2.5 hours to see the doctor, especially if you are having fill problems!

Crystal, all you need to do is look at this website to see if the doctors that are members of the ASMBS will take on patients from other doctors. The code of FOLL means the doctor will take patients from other doctors. http://www.asbs.org/cgi/membertest3.pl 

This doctor has the code of FOLL.
