Wednesday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Half way there...Friday is coming soon.

I keep getting headaches (not migraines) this is the third day I have one.  It's not really painful..just annoying.  I wonder why this is happening all of the sudden???

I am wondering have any of your guys had some fear of getting thin when you were losing weight?  I have heard this from a couple of people here on OH and a friend (he had Lapband surgery last Summer).  He asked me if I have any lingering fears of getting thin...and my answer was heck no I can't wait!!!  I was thin as a kid and a teenager and I can't wait to get back to what I believe is the "real" me.  But he is worried...I guess I can't wrap my head around that.  I feel no fear at all...all I feel is impatience that I'm not thin YET!!!  Other than getting some unwanted attention now and then...everything else about being thin is great.  I think my enthusiasm won him over because he seemed to feel better.

Here's to some sunshine...I want Summer here now!!!  Have a great day.  Bye
.

Hi Crystal.

You look thin to me!!! I had a problem with my self-image as I would see myself as the 485 fat woman that I was. Even now that I've lost weight again - so close to ONEderland - I've been getting a lot of attention from all people - who smile and say hello. Both men and women - all strangers too!

I do have self-image issues and am dealing with them the best way I can.

Yes - bring on that sunshine!

Have a great day!

Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning.

I have no issues with getting thinner, I am not thin yet, just about normal for a person my age.

Lucy, the 485 woman is no more. You will reach onederland, probably faster then I will.I have been stuck for almost a year, playing with the same few lbs.

Crystal, you are fine, you are thin, just not modle thin.

we are all working on our weightand bodies. I would love to get my plastics done, but the insurance won't pay for it, anf I will not spend that kind of money ffor something that is wanted more then needed.

I am at work. yucky rain. Co-worker has strep, so no help again today. Yes, I do it all when someone doesn't come in.

Have a safe, dry day. And stay warm.

Huggers,
LISA

Good Morning Crystal, and IL

No fear or problems with getting thin!  It is hard sometimes to realize when I see pics of myself that it is me.  I saw a picture I was in, taken last month at a meeting I attended, and have to admit, I stared at myself and thought, well, not too bad!  LOL  I'm not "model thin" as Lisa says, but feel more regular sized...and I can live with that!  I'm no longer the largest person in a group and I have really felt good about that.  Crystal, I too, was very thin and fit in HS and then I got married and then I got divorced and BOOM.  LOL

RE: your headache, it could be sinus from this lousy weather.  When I had my cold a couple of weeks ago, the sinus headache was the worst!  You might try something like Tylenol Sinus and cold and see if it helps?

I can't wait for winter to take it's last breath and let Spring in!  I know everyone is SO ready for warmer weather.

Have a super day!

Georgie

Hello All...
When I started my journey back at the end of September 2010 I weighed 459 lbs. Not a pretty sight. I had lost 35 lbs pre op and I have lost 42 lbs since surgery on January 24th.Total 77 lbs so far. I started out in a size 32 pants and now I am wearing a 26. and a 22 shirt. I feel great but my knees still dont.  Hopefully after a few more lbs my knees will start  to feel at least somewhat better. The best thing is I am so anxious to continue this journey. I will never be thin, I dont think I have ever been smaller than a 16 in my life but being a 16 at 6ft tall makes me smile...Even a 18..I'll take it.

Have a great evening everyone.

Good evening,

Nurse was here today.  All looks good still:)

I was going to meet some friends for lunch but it got cancelled.  It was disappointing since I was really looking forward to getting out of the house.  Now I will be meeting my sister and Aunt for a movie and lunch tomorrow.

My husband job search is going slow still.  He has been told on several occasions that he is over qualified.  EEERRRRR!

Kitties are doing better.  They are wrestling around a lot but there isn't any hissing or real fighting.

Nothing else here!  Have a good night!

 Evening All!

I am human tonight!  The day was much better today.  Whew!  It was a nice steady pace all day with no major issues or headaches.  I like days like today!
Tomorrow is my Friday and I will take it!  I am looking forward to a 3 day weekend.    I do need to do my taxes and have other errands but hey no rush.

I dream of being thin but also know I will never make it there.  I seriously do not think my genetics will allow it.  Sigh.  I have fought this weight my entire life and that battle will never go away.  But I still want to lose more.  So hopefully once the back is taken care of I can get active again.

I too am ready for Spring.  I hope it is soon!  I am so tired of winter.

Everyone have a great evening!

Hi All!

I tell my husband and friends all the time that since my surgery I have become very vain.  I love to look at myself in the mirror!  I weigh less now then when I became pregs with my daughter.  Shopping is more fun (whole bunch of stores have been opened up to me) and I am enjoying life more.

Scott's Bday is today.  I made fondue for dinner and we dipped apples, pickles, bread, califlower, and fingerling potato's.  Morgan did not know what some of the potato's were because they were purple.  On Saturday we are having a bday get together for him him and are going to grill out hamburgers.

Work was horribly slow today.  We actually were picking up the phones to make sure we still had a dial tone.

Starting some college classes online and had my first workshop tonight for it.  Not sure I am ready for this.  Stressed me out a bit!

Time for Scott to blow out some candles (46).  Have a wonderful evening.

Hi all! I'm Cindy from Illinois. I am doing ok after surgery but having a hard time eating healthy. I've lost 36 lbs. so far but now I'm in a stall. I haven't started any excersize and I've been eating very little. I do have a protein shake every morning. I guess I'm just plain out being lazy! My hubby is retired and he eats like a bird! I don't cook much at all. I eat yogurt, chicken. soup, cereal and eggs. I know I need to eat better and I need to get moving! I think I've been depressed the last couple of weeks. I don't know why,,,,just am. Has anyone else had the same problems? I can't seem to get into the swing of this new lifestyle. I need any help anyone can give me.

Thank you for your help.

Cindy
