Friday Roll Call

Good Morning, it is the last friday of Feb. March 1 is Tuesday. Hopefully the skies will cooperate and start to show signs of spring.

Here in Streator, we got about 1 1/2 inches of the white stuff. At least that is manageable.

The only thing on my agenda today is to clean this house up. Since we were gone all lastweekend, nothing really got done, so I need to spend time today and take care of it.

Hello everyone

It's Friday!!! I have my new debit card!!!  We got barely any snow at all!!!  There are so many reasons to be happy today. 

I went see my doctor I lost 9 lbs this month...not as much as last month.  He's still very happy with my weight loss.  I decided to buy my book on Amazon...it was more money at Barnes and Noble (even with shipping).  See this is why I liked Borders more.  My other book I bought last weekend, based on the movie "I am Number Four" is really good.  I'm about 3/4 of the way done.  It will be a series of books the next one will be "The Power of Six" but I have to wait till August for it to come out.   

Today I have to stay late for month end.  So I have at 13 hour day at work today.  Then I will work out, then groceries, then Walgreen's (I didn't go yesterday).  I also want to go to JCPenneys I have a free $15 off $15 or more coupon...it's like free money.  I really have no other plans this weekend.  Which is good I want to relax and putz around the house. 

Nancy- I am so sorry you didn't get your surgery.  Don't give up.

Nancy, I am so sorry that you've gotten the runaround from your surgeon. All your planning, etc.. that really sucks!

I am happy too that we didn't get much snow.

I already worked out, cleaned the house, took out the garbage and went to work. Cleaning up a storage room at work too. Burning lots of calories today. I also shoveled a little snow from my driveway and my neighbor's driveway and my sidewalk.

I've been a busy person this morning .

My sister is still at Alexian Brothers. They attempted to do a UGI but she is so swollen in the esophageal area. Dr. Guske put her on NPO for 2 days. She has been in a lot of pain and I encouraged her to use her pain medication!

Not much for me after work. Maybe some laundry and dishes.

Glad the weekend is here.

No snow here!  Yippee!

Does anyone have the "Fitbit"?  I am VERY interested in this item, but is is $ 100.00 and I can not spend that kind of $$ if is is not worth it.   ANYONE?

I am looking SO forward to the busy, busy weekend we have planned, mostly because I won't be here at work!  Tonight, the kids are going to a play while Todd and I have some "alone time" to talk and catch up about important things that we don't get to talk about in our everyday lives. 

Tomorrow, I have my last acting workshop in the morning, LIv has a Girl Scout thing and Todd should be picking up our hog that is ready.  Tomorrow evening, we are all going to dinner to celebrate Amber's 33rd birthday, and Amber, David and I are attending the play in Pec.  Todd and Liv will take Riley home.  Sunday is actually Amber's birthday and Liv is working the museum while David has rehearsal........all this activity will help keep my mind off of the stress I feel at work.

Thinking of Nancy and hoping that things smooth out soon.  Being in pain is NOT acceptable.

I just saw someone talking about this on OH.  I found the link below.  I went on Amazon and looked at it.  I like to go on Amazon and read everyone's comments...even if I don't buy it on Amazon.  That's how I decided on different brands I read everyone's comments on Amazon.

Thanks!  There you go again.....being just like me!  I always check out the comments on Amazon too before buying anything.  Funny thing is, I hardly ever remember to actually POST my comments.

 Good Friday Afternoon Evernone!

Well I am sitting here not sure whether to laugh or cry  I contacted my insurance company a little while ago to see what the next steps are or if I am totally out of appeals and surgery options ONLY to be told that my insurance APPROVED the surgery??????!!!!   

It was approved at 7:58 am.  My surgery was scheduled for between 8 am and 9 am.  A bit down to the wire there.  

So much for expedited approval.  Did they seriously think I would be at the hospital and prepped just waiting for approval???  

So there was NOT a second denial.  Just no decision reached last night.  Now to reschedule it and try again.  

I did get approval to go back to work on Monday.  Now we get to go through this all again!   

 I just talked to the nurse and she told me she relayed the message that I was upset to the surgeon.  She will relay the approval message to him and see what he wants to do.  WTF?? He is the one that created this mess.  He better be willing to reschedule.    She made it sound like he is displeased that I was upset.  Oh really???  Who was inconvienced here?  

So the drama continues.

Crystal and Dawn, I love to read Amazon comments, too.  They have helped me many times in deciding whether or not to buy some things.

Nancy...I am so sorry for all of the run around you have gotten.  I don't know how an insurance company can expect a patient to just show up and "hope" maybe their surgery will be a go.  What a mess.  HOpe it all gets straightened out and scheduled to your satisfaction.

I have a horrible cold and feel absolutely miserable.  Chloe didn't come this weekend, so I'm just gonna take it easy and sleep and relax.  We had about 4" of snow....I actually used the snowblower on the driveway this AM.  (I was off all day), but the sun was nice and the deck cleared off and there are still patches of snow, but prbly gone when we get rain that 's predicted.

Evening All,

I am a bit late tonight but just got back from Seussical.  The kids did a great job with it.

Not much else going on in my world right now. Still trying to get over this cold/allergy thingie that I have had for about a week.  Its mostly my throat and a cough.  Not much more than that.

Had Pizza for dinner.  Been snaking alot lately.  Still trying to figure out if it is head hunger or just hunger.
