Hello

For me I got back on track by starting an exercise routine.  I started to lose the weight fast and that motivated me to make small changes to my eating habits.  I think a lot of people try to control their weight by diet alone but that is a big mistake and here's why-

When we are losing weight we are losing muscle mass.  Our muscles are the fat/calorie burning machines in our bodies.  So as we are losing muscle mass we are losing our calorie burning machine (slower metabolism) making it more and more difficult to lose weight.  Each time we lose weight we lose more muscle...thus making it much easier to regain.  That is one reason there is so much regain.  If you work out as you lose weight you not only rebuild the muscle you are losing but you build more muscle.  After you are done losing weight it will be easier to maintain your weight...because you have more muscle mass!!!  See it's a vicious cycle.

When working out include cardio and strength training.  I know no one wants to work out but getting serious about working out has helped me not only lose weight but I feel better.
