Oh my gosh, I agree with the the study saying how carbs are addicting. I am a carb ADDICT!

Jules- what is Scensy? I've been hearing it around, and am very curious.

Today was a little set back for me. Last night, I took my temp because I was feeling hot and cold at the same time. Well, I have a fever... and it keeps climbing! My doctor told me I had a slight infection where my JP drain was, but he never gave me anti-biotics. Also, yesterday my lips swelled up (it looked like a bad collagen treatment!). It turns out, I'm allergic to the heparin shots I've been giving myself. Called the doctor, and he said just take some benadryl. I feel much better today. Just need to get this darn fever down...

On a happy note, my chiropractor has a special treatment that says will relieve some of the pain I 've been having in my back. He thinks its all gas pain... I CAN"T wait!!!!!
Hope this icky Tuesday is treating the rest of you well!!

Lindsey,

Scentsy is a wickless candle system.  The warmer heats up the scented wax and it smells up the whole room/house.  It's awesome!  Check out my website:  https://juliezelinka.scentsy.us

Have a party and you will get lots of free products!

DEFINATELY keep an eye on that fever!
My 4 year old granddaughter has the flu and she said the same thing last night about being hot and cold at the same time.  She was 101.1 at the time and is home sick today.

Tell someone that you love them!

PS - I have heard that walking will relieve the gas pain issue and also some will take Gas-X. That is a lot cheaper than a Chiropractor.

I hope your doctor is aware of your fever.  If not, PLEASE call him.  I was put on antibiotics immediately with a slight fever post op and a small infection in one of my incisions.  We sure don't want you sick!

Gas pains suck.  BIG TIME!  They often hit your most vulnerable spot and at the time for me that was my neck.  It is true that the more you move IE walk, the faster the pain goes away.  It seems like it takes forever but it does pass!

Hang in there!

 Good Evening Everyone

Crystal  I will definitely agree that carbs are addicting and that I am addicted to them . I wish I could break that addiction!  I know, just dont buy it or eat it and you wont be addicted but tell that to my head!

This has been a frustrating day from he## for me.  I spent every free moment and then some on the phone talking to the surgeons office, my insurance company, the hospital scheduling department and felt like I was getting no where fast.  The key is that the surgeon HAS to call the insurance company.  Scheduling states that this is THEIR job but I have news for them, they are not the surgeon and will get no where fast.  It took 4 calls to the doctors office to finally get the blankety blank receptionist to leave a message with the doctors nurse.

I have called multiple times for the last two days and no calls returned.  GRRRRR.  I finally got the nurse late this afternoon and told her that I needed to know no later than tomorrow.  Otherwise, I would call the entire thing off and reschedule.  And it might not be with the same surgeon.

Tonight when I came home from PT there was a message on my machine from the nurse to the effect of calling her to discuss the proceedures for surgery.  Does that mean I have been approved or not?  Can you hear me scream where you are?

After convincing myself to have this surgery, all this is not helping me feel positive about this whole situation and decision.  If I were not in such pain I would just call the whole thing off.  I cant decide whether to cry or scream.

So the saga continues.

Good Evening All:

I had my 6 mos. followup visit today.  Seriously, it was a waste of time and money in my opinion.  Was there for all of 5 mins and the only thing the doc said was how are you feeling and I had 3 WLS patients today in a row and you all weigh the same amount.  "see you in 6 months".  I could have called that into the nurse instead of taking off a whole day from work and driving to Peoria (about 45 mins away).  On the other side I did get some shopping in for some new clothes and went to a really fun resturant for lunch called the Rythm Kitchen.  Think 1960's beetnick hangout in a basement.  Very retro.  Had pizza for lunch and brought alot home for Scott to have as an afterwork snak.

Morgan has play practice every day after school this week. She is in Susical and starts performances on Thursday.

Heading back to work tomorrow. I had a nice 5 day weekend.  I may have to work on Saturday but I will find that out tomorrow.

Have a wonderful evening.

P.s. I love Scentsy!

Good Evening to all,

So glad to find this board....

Had my Psychological eval today.  Took a test 567 questions.. It was unreal. Seemed to pass...LOL

Having a busy week..Friday I have to go for a 6 mth Follow up on my mammogram. Then I have to have a  scope to check on my stomach and esophagus.  Having problems with back pain and alot of heartburn when I eat.  Need to check the hiatal hernia, so the surgeon will be able to fix it at the time of surgery. Have to go to a mandatory support group meeting(pre-op).

Then I will be able to start pre-op liquid diet...Can not wait !! LOL

I started reading a book..The Beck Diet...Train your brain how to think like a thin person.
It is awesome.  Many times in my life I wondered how my sister stayed so thin. this book is a eye opener...

I'm very nervous about knowing how to get all my protein in .  I'm also very nervous about losing my hair. I'm already taking Bioton pills. I'm also no longer using shampoo. I have been using WEN.  I started losing my hair due to my Thyroid disease. WEN has made my hair feel great. Has anyone had the hair loss that i have been hearing about?

Sorry for such a long post.
Hope everyone has a great night.
