Tuesday Roll Call
I am working and surprised that I am first. Busy, busy, busy you all must be.
I went home last night and started my taxes to get a boost to my bank account. It will help, but I need to fine tune them before sending them in. Todd surprised me with a couple of cards and some special coffee that he knows I like. VERY surprised! We don't get all crazy about the "Hallmark Holidays", but somethimes, it is nice to be thought of. I got him a very special turtle brownie from the bakery and wrote a message on the box. I got the kids some special candy that they love and "Zotz" from Walgreen's. Anyone remember those? They were my FAVORITE as a kid and now my kids love them too!
I am supposed to attend the Board Meeting at the Playhouse tonight to try to straighten out who is in charge of what concerning the youth. I DO NOT want to be "in charge" but I WILL NOT work "for" "The Director" either. The answer (in my opinion) is that she takes care of the middle school and I will take care of the high school with both of us reporting )separately) to a Committe Chairperson. Not sure if that will happen as no one seems to want to handle that task. Problem for me is that the meeting is from 7-10 and that is past my bedtime! lol!
That's about it for me at the moment. I am very excited to try the Salmon Scramble....it just sounds SO yummy to me.
Everyone have a spectacular day!
I am still not happy....Tuesday is better than Monday but we still have awhile to go before it's Friday.
When I went to Kohls on Saturday the cashier did some stupid thing and ended up having to void the transaction and ringing up everything again. Well I checked my bank account and the first transaction went through. I told her the transaction she just voided hit my account and now she was going to double charge my account. I didn't like that. So I asked to talk to the manager and he assured me that the charge will drop off Monday. Well it's Tuesday and the charge is STILL on my account!!! I'm glad I made a stink because the manager will remember me when I go in and explain they owe my $28. I have never had this happen to me before.
Yesterday was a junk food extravaganza. There were Girl Scout cookies, Dunkin Donuts, Kisses, conversation hearts...and more. I didn't have none of it. I know some people get mad and expect everyone around them to hide their junk food and not eat it in front of them. I feel that this is a lot to ask other people to do...they can eat what they want, when they want to. I think a person should get used to temptation. At least that's my opinion.
Well have a great day.
Good Morning,
OK. I know it is almost noon.
I am also at work. But unlike Christine, we are busy. I am heading to lunch, so I have a couple of minutes'
We don't celebrate " the Hallmark " holidays either. But, we did go to Sears on Sunday night and buy a new 60 inch Sony TV. Our old one is 22 years old, so it was time to replace it. Hubert is busy this last week of disability redoing our wall in the Living room, since the selveing would not accomadate the 60 in screen.
Otherwise, nothing happening today except work. I only have one more day this week and off for the long weekend.
BTW Nancy, you aren't the only one who misplaces things. I couldn't find my milage check from 2 weeks ago, it was under the keyboard , It will e cashed today.
ave a good day, stay safe.
Huggers,
Lisa
Another day, another dollar. That is about how I feel tonight. Work went fine. It was busy and steady all day. I am looking forward to a "vacation" from work. I figure I will be off about 2 months. The reality of the surgery i****ting me. I get fitted for my brace tomorrow. I still have mixed feelings for this proceedure. I guess it is the idea of going in, rearranging my organs and operating on my spine.
Dawn, I hope your meeting goes well tonight. Stand firm! Crystal, I am glad you caught the mistake. I would definitely pursue it. Lisa, it is hard to believe that Hubert is almost done with his medical leave! Christine, I sometimes relish those slow days, but they also can be BORING!
Have a great evening!
