Sunday Roll Call
Revision on 04/19/13
Good Morning,
We will be joining Monica at Morgans' concert this afternoon. I am looking forward to it. This morning, I did some laundry, changed the bed, and got stuff ready for the work week. I will get dressed later, and we will be going to Bloomington. I am suppose to go to a support group meeting tomorrow evening, but I am not going to go, since it would be another trip to Bloomington.
Yesterday we decided to drive over to the mall to walk, and also to look for a new TV. We will decide if we are going to buy one today. I did look at C.J. Banks, on thier sale idems, and found a denim, light jacket, for $ 7.99, also a cardigan, for the same price.
Have a great safe day.
Huggers,
LISA

Hey Lisa
I wanted to ask you a question. I figured you might know because of your line of work. Since my sister is on different government programs for low income people (like section 8, medicaid, LIHEAP) I think you have to go in once or twice a year report any income change to continue receiving the welfare benefits. Well my sister has inherited tidy sum of money (about $50k) and a car worth about $25k and that doesn't include jewelry and antiques...so she now has assets. How will this effect her benefits? I am thinking they will take away her benefits...IF she reports them. And if she doesn't report the assets will the state find out any way? I wouldn't doubt she will try to defraud the system by collecting welfare and have all this money. She has committed fraud before in the past. I have been tempted to call and report her but I wasn't comfortable with that...so I always figured her lies would catch up to her and let the system deal with her.
I know this sounds mean but I am hoping they will take her welfare away. It's about time she gets off her butt and supports herself...the tax payers have been supporting her for 18 years now!!! Don't get me wrong I have no problem using welfare for it's intended use...as a help during hard times...not to live off of for the rest of your life!!! I would rather an ACTUAL needy person receive the benefits that she is getting.

Hello everyone!
I am so excited it's getting nicer out! I feel like spring should be here shortly now.
My husband is really struggling with the loss of the job. We will be okay on money for 3 months or so with the savings. Hopefully he can get a job quickly! We are even open to moving if necessary. He also got a cold so he's bummed about that too:(
I'm going to try to convince the husband to help me clean the house. I can't really vacuum, but I can dust and clean the tops of the sinks and toilets. One of my good friends are stopping by so I might convince her to go for a walk since it's nice outside.
I found a recipe for a pumpkin yogurt. It sounds yummy and if I add greek yogurt, the protein crazy high! I made a salmon havarti cheese scramble this morning that was really good and 20g of protein. I couldn't eat a full portion (3/4c) so I only had 13g, but still, not a bad meal.
Have a good day everyone. Enjoy the warmer weather!

mmmmm pumpkin yogurt. Share the recipe please.
I am sorry your husband is having a hard time dealing with the job loss, but that is normal. It is such a huge loss almost comparable to a death in a family.
Many of us identify ourselves by our jobs and when that job is gone so is our identity and our self worth. Rationally we know that that thought process is crazy but it is also very true.
Your occupation is often one of the first things someone asks of someone else when they meet -- "what do you do?" Our society has a tendency to connect people and their jobs and their achievements with that job.
Once that job is gone, we have to process an entire new self identity. He is still a husband and a father. Maybe he has some hobbies. Encourage him to be active in those roles as he seeks new employment. I am sure he still has many valuable qualities and you can help him by emphasising all of his great talents and assets. Make him feel important and suppor him.
Sorry, you can wake up now.
That is your psychology lesson for today. It just comes out in me as a counselor trying to help. Take it for what it is worth. Hugs.

Good Afternoon Everyone!
Man what a day. First I did not want to get out of bed today because it felt too good and then I have been messing around on small clean up projects around the house. Going from one extreeme to the other!
I have been cleaning up my desk and cleaning out the drawers and shredding months of documents. It all started when I went looking for a gift card from Christmas to buy books for my Kindle. I still havent found the card. Sigh. But I have gotten some things cleaned up that I have been meaning to do.
Crystal, your picture is amazing. I would post that on my fridge as a permanent reminder! Lisa and Monica, enjoy the concert.
Hope everyone is having a great day!
