Friday Roll Call

Hello everyone

Friday is here...finally!!!

I am working (of course) and then working out after work.  Then I am going to pick up a few things from Meijer.  I am shopping for a new electric blanket.  Last night I tried a new machine in the gym and it kicked my butt.  I could only do 25 lbs and today I'm a little sore.  I am always looking for ways to change things up...it's supposed to be good to do that.

My jeans I bought in December are getting big on me...a good thing I know but...I can't afford this.  What the heck.  So I am wearing jeans that are baggy on me.  And someone already point out that jeans are baggy...I don't know maybe I will act shocked next time-  "OMG baggy!!!  REALLY!!!  I don't believe you!!!"  hahaha.

I was invited to go out tonight but I just feel like going home and relaxing.  It's yucky out and I want to just spend the evening wrapped up in my electric blanket.  I know that's exciting stuff.

Christine- I hope Dave is improving every day.

I hope every one has a great Friday

Hi Crystal. I like the sound of your electric blanket. Sheesh, I've been getting colder this winter. Your variation in exercise is right up the mark. You're doing great!

I've increased my intensity on the elliptical from level 3 to 5 this week. Just to think I started at level 1. My cardio days I do 45 on the elliptical and 15 on the treadmill.

I'm hoping to crack the 200's either this week or the next - onederland here I come; and I plan on staying there.

Hope everyone else is well. Stay warm. The thaw is coming next week. YAY!!

Have a wonderful day and weekend.

Hugs,
Lucy

Good Morning,

Lucy, it is exciting to see you posting again. I miss you when you don't.

Christine, I know you are taking good care of Dave.

Nancy, I am thinking about you and your upcoming surgery.

Jules, things will work out.

Dawn, Hang in there.

Crystal, It is so nice seeing your determination with exercizing. Monica V is complianing too about clothes getting big but not about her weight lost.

Me, today I will attemp to clean house. I also need to go to the store. Other then that, it will be a fairly quiet day.

We did go with Monica V and family to see RiverDance last night. I loved it. I know we were all entranced with the dancing. I really wasn't ready for it to end.

I think it is suppose to warm up abit in the next few days. I hope so. I want spring.

Stay safe and warm today.

Huggers,
LISA

Good morning all!

Fast fly-by for me as I am at work and kind of busy right now.

Relaxing sounds good Crystal!

I did very well yesterday in all aspects.  I keep teling myself "just for today I will......" and I even walked the building at lunch.  I kept on track with eating and did not overload on stress too badly.  I DID snap at my husband right before bed, but I managed most of the day!   hehehehe!

Each day, each moment, I guess.

Not too much happening this weekend.  We are invited to go to a fundraising moonlight bowl for the neice that is going to Europe, but I just saw her mother and broke it to her that we may not attend due to financial restrictions..  She seemed to take it OK (on the surface anyway).

"The Director" is trying to get under my skin too.........I am going to meditate is all away.....ooommmmm,  ooommmmm, ooommmmm......... :-)

My kids are working at the museum on Sunday for the "Chocolate Sundae Sunday" event.  That is ALWAYS fun!

Thanks for listening!

Everyone have a stellar day!

Good Morrning everyone!
I go back to work on Monday, Ive been off for 3 weeks cant believe how the fast the weeks fly and then sitting at the hospital the time just drags. I need to get back to work. Finianical and sanity. Hubby is kinda moving around more and they had to put restraints on his hands because hes trying to pull out tubing. He still doesnt focus or follow commands.
Hope everyone has a good Friday and has a even better weekend!

Glad to hear that there is progress. I might have missed it - why was/is he in a coma?

Thanks for asking. He is making little improvements everyday. Finally this weekend we will not be having any PT or nurse in the house. Finally we have the house to ourselves until next week.

I am still tired as I am getting up real early to make breakfast, set out clean clothing and make the bed and put his CPM on it so he can use it during the day. Then I come home to make dinner . . .  and it starts all over the next day.

 Christine,

Something to make you smile.  I told Dr Kane you spoke highly of him and he remembered you right away (of course he did if you guys spent so much time together)!  He said you were very sick and it was right at the beginning of him starting to work.  He had a big smile on his face when he mentioned you!

Jules, thanks for telling me this. That man and his dad have a special place in my heart for them bringing me back from the brink of death.

 Good afternoon,

Crystal and Lucy-you go girls!  It is awesome how well you guys are doing with exercise!

Lisa-glad you enjoyed the show last night.  I have never seen it but always wanted to.

I have to go back in for surgery Tuesday.  The wound has lots of puss pockets in it and Dr Kane cut open some of it yesterday and tried to get it out with just a local, and the local did not work!  I'm in a lot of pain today (nurse was here too today to re-hook up the vacuum and that didn't help either).  My pain meds are not covering this pain.  So if he can knock me out and do it, I'm all for it!

Thank you so much for the encouragement you guys are giving me.  It's a tough time right now, but I am a fighter and I know we will get through this.  And emails and thoughts and prayers from you guys are great.  I have only been on this website for a short time and already I feel like I have friends.  Thank you again!

My husband is still in the shock and sad stage.  He's calling all of his contacts, but isn't ready to interview.  He is a very proud and old fashioned guy so it's not appealing to him to have his wife somewhat support him:)

Crystal-I'm with you on the ex-wife.  As soon as her house is paid off (2.5 years), alimony goes away and only child support will be paid.  I can't wait.  I never would expect someone else to pay my bills, but she does.  It makes me mad too!!!!!

Hope you guys have a great weekend!!!!!!
