Hello everyone

I'm at work now.  What a drive in...the roads are terrible.  Ice and snow every where.  My car slid a couple of times but I was fine.

It took me from 10-4pm yesterday to dig my car out of the parking lot.  I was taking breaks.  I was going inside to warm up.  When I was done I was freezing cold and sweating my butt off...weird combination.  Today my back and arms are a little sore but that's it.

I hope everyone had a good snow day.  Enjoy today and be safe on the roads.  Bye

Good Morning.

I am heading for work shortly. I know the Highway between us and where I am working is open, because the lady across the street works near me, and she is gone. As long as the wind stays calm, i shouldn't have any problems. Except,  to get into my building. i will be the firat one in, but I am sure the snow will be piled by the door.

Have a great day.
Stay in if you can,

Huggers,
LISA

Good Morning.

Sitting here eating breakfast and trying to figure out how I can call into work again today...Don't think that will happen but I like to think about it.

No school again today in our area due to windchill.  Morgie was sick on Monday and has had 3 snow days so far this week.  She is supposed to have a Chorus Concert tomorrow night but they have not had a practice all week.

It took my husban about 2 hours yesterday to dig out is parking space in front of the house.  As soon as he was done the snow plow came down the road.  All I heard was NOOOOOOOOOO! and I was in the back of the house. I made him coffee when he got in.

Have a safe day and try to stay warm.

Yeppers, the snow plows are a necessary evil. We love them for clearing the roads, and hate them for doing it, and plowing us back in.

Hello cyber friends,
Home again!!  Love snow days until we need to make then up in June.  Oh well!  Have not ventured out on the roads yet, but I found my driveway blocked again from the plow going down the street.  YUCK!!  More shoveling in my future.  I also need to find my mailbox.  I am sure the mailman would appreciate that!!
Today I am doing laundry and other typical Saturday activities.  Figured a good day to get a head start on the house work.  I should do some baking but I will save that for the weekend, Superbowl treats!
Hope everyone stays warm and safe today
Have a good day

Good afternoon Crystal and the rest of Illinois!

I have been MIA since for almost a week!  Crystal, my condolenses on your father's death and I am sorry that your family are acting like jerks.  I have the same kind of family so I sympathize.

OUr hotel weekend was fun.  I danced my arse off on Saturday night and felt it in my upper legs for 2 days.  We were snowed in yesterday and I made a huge pot of chili for the neighborhood.  Some of the older kids came over and played games and ate chili after they were done playing in the snow.  I shoveled our front walk and it came up to my tushie!  What a work ou!

I am at work today and the roads were fine.

We have a Family Night at Scouts tonight with a "mystery dinner" and that is always fun.

I am glad that tomorrow is Friday and also glad to see that Dave is home and recovering.

For those that can or will, please send good thoughts, prayers, mojo and whatever else for my kids' teacher/coach and his 14 year old son.  They were hit head-on by a semi on Tuesday morning about a mile from school.

The father/teacher/coach is in critical condition with many broken parts.  He is in a medical coma and had his second surgery today.  The 14 year old had a slight skull fracture and some broken ribs and should be released in a couple days.  His locker is next to my Liv's and they have classes together.  The emotional upheaval he must be in is terrifying.  OUr hearts go out to this family.
That is one of the drawbacks to living in such a small community------when there is an accident, chances are, you know someone involved.

Thank you.

Tell someone that you love them!

 Good Evening Everyone!

Well, they actually called off work yesterday but waited until 11 am to make it official.  Not sure why it took so long to get it through their heads that no one could make it.  Corporate was closed.  Get a clue.  Oh well.  We worked today and were busy but customers were understanding.

Roads were not too bad.  I really expected worse.  I was stunned when I got on interstate 80 this morning.  It was closed for over a day and today there is not a spot of snow or ice on it.  Amazing!  I guess it can be done if there are no cars to interfere and the concentrate on a road.  Now --- the city streets are more what I expected -- snow and ice covered.

I have seen one of my two cats.  I am not sure where Oreo is.  She is either trapped in someones garage, or burried underneath the neighbors shed and is working on digging herself out.  She does disappear at times.  I hope she is ok.  Tigger was mighty hungry by the time I was able to get outside and feed him last night but still would not come in.

Dawn, I am so sorry to hear about the coach and his son.  That is always scary and frightening.  I hope the coach will be ok.   It would have to be very difficult for the son right now.

Everyone have a great evening!
