He's home!

Got home at about 3:15 and resting in his recliner. He is talking out loud as to the things he needs to remember - like not just walking off to the potty without his walker . . .

Glad to hear he is home.  Best thing now, is to stay indoors where it is toasty and warm.  Best wishes on the road to recovery.

I am glad Dave is home safe and sound.  Tell him he must be breaking the record for getting kicked out of the hospital so darned fast!  I think I was in the hospital a good week for both of my knee replacements.  

I hope Dave will be getting in home therapy for awhile.  That was a godsend to me.  I also had a visiting nurse who came and even did my INR levels for my protime reading for my coumadin.  I did not venture out to regular pt for a good month or so.  It sure was convenient.  

Make sure Dave does his exercises between PT sessions.  I did mine at least twice a day.  The more you do them, the faster that knee will heal and the more flexable it will be.     Standing up from a chair or bed was the hardest thing for me.

I fully understand his thoughts!  I lost my cane when I started going out so many times...I would hang it to get something off a shelf at the store and then since I was using a cart for walking I would leave it behind and have to go find it!

glad he's home and has a great  caregiver!
