Julie, I am glad everything turned out ok for you.

Crystal, Amanda's cake is perfect looking. I do not know how much you are doing for her, but when my 2 started planning weddings, I kept a sprial bound notebook going with everything I had to do, buy, remeber, ect. It really helped to keep me organized. With saying that, I still forgot the floor runner at home.

My agenda for today is to go to a birthday party later this afternoon. No other plans.

Hello everyone

Oh I am having the most lazy Sunday ever.  I have done nothing but lay around watch TV and read.  It's wonderful!!!  I know everyone is so excited over this football game...me not so much. 

I have new neighbors moving in and they are loud.  I don't know if all the kids are theirs but they have 3 very loud kids that love to run and stomp around.  My daughter spent her whole life living in apartments she was trained at a very early age to not run, stomp, jump, pound or scream because of the neighbors...now why can't other people have the same courtesy when it comes to their kids. 

I was wondering we haven't heard from Christine lately.  I think her husband was going to be having his surgery.  I wonder if that's why we haven't heard from her???  I can't remember what date he was having his surgery.

Lisa- unfortunately, I can't be too involved in the wedding planning...Amanda is 2 1/2 hours away.  I get updates and she will call for my opinion but that's about it.  When she asks for my opinion I try not to push my ideas on her.  Like the cake for instance I love carrot cake but it still might be spice cake (I never heard of that) I don't think I will like spice cake...but I didn't want to tell her that because then she will choose carrot for me.  She's too good to me.

I am around - today is my first day to actually log on all week. I have an S load of things on my plate and you might not see much of me for the next few weeks. Dave's surgery is this Friday at 10am. I will try and update after the surgery.

Crystal, I love my Spiky's for my boots or shoes. Used them yesterday when I cleared the rest of the ice off of the drive and sidewalks.

PS edited to add that the best way to get ahold of me is via PM here on OH or a message via FB. I always have my home email up at work and also check it several times in the evening at home. I do not get email notifications via FB unless you write on my wall. I turned all those other silly emails off, LOL Got too many of them.

 Afternoon Everyone!

I am playing lazy today.  I got everything done yesterday and so I am taking it easy today.  I slept in and then stayed in bed for awhile as my back was hurting.  Now I am catching up on the computer.  

Crystal, spice cake is very similar to carrot cake in taste.  It really is good.  It usually has nutmeg, cinnamon and allspice in it.  Similar to pumpkin pie spices.  

I have chicke and rice in the crockpot cooking for dinner.  Todays flavor is cilantro and lime.  It sounded good yesterday.  Hope I like it.  They now have a premeasured seasoning pack with all the needed spices at the grocery store.  This was for Chicken fajaitas but I am adapting the recipe to the crock pot minus the tortillias.  So we shall see.

I need to get back to what I should be doing.  I had so many small cheats over thr last frw weeks that I had to convince myself my took was still working.  Two sugar cookies. four brownie bites and a small glass of chocolate milk sent me to bed wishing for death.

The wake up call was not that great either.
