I am so so Happy

I called yesterday down to the New Life center down in Herrin.  I am on there March 11th seminar  at 11 am @ the Herrin HP.  I called their insurance lady and asked her if I would have to start my 6 months of supervised visits over since I have medical card.  She told me they have never heard of medical card wanting 6 months of supervised visits with ur PCP.  But I told her I would finish doing my last 3 months(on the 26th of this month will be my 4th month of the 6).  I asked if I could finish them out just in case they would need them.  And my dr  can just fax the info to them down in Herrin.   But the only thing is with the center down in Herrin,if you have MC you have to pay $200 for program fee but my mom said she would pay that for me.  Since I am stay at home mom right now.  I hope you all don't think I am lazy mom for not working and get state help.  I would work,but around here(600 people town) with no license or car it is hard to find a job.  We already have someone who delievers the newspaper. Most people have sitter or daycare for their kids or having someone to mow their yards,clean their house or shovel the snow off for them.  I would love to work.  I am hopin to get ahold of the college for my area and look into starting online classes for Medical Billin & Coding.  So if I go for that I can maybe work from home aleast n earn some money.

Vicki, Wherever you decide to go, they all have thier own programs. My own Dr nor my insurance company required me to do a 6 month weigh in. My daughters did. I drove 110 miles to my Dr for each appointment that I needed to do for the lapband. She drove 40.

As far as you being a stay at home mom. That is great.  We have all had our turn at this. You wanting to go back to school, to be able to get a good job. Go for it. Everyone on the board is in a different place in our lives. An idea for you, have you thought of starting a daycare center in your home foor others that are working.? That way, you could stay home and still bring money in.

We are all here for you, whatever you do.

Lisa- I would start a daycare center  our house is to small and really crowd with 3 people in it now.   You have to take classes to run a daycare center out of ur home.  I know this cause I have some friends who have an at home daycare centers.  If I knew more people around here I would like sell something like avon,mary kay and pampered chef  just to earn some extra cash. 

Congrats to you Vickie on getting closer to having the surgery.  As far as working, you are working.  You are a mom.  If you are spening time with your kids, providing them a loving home, support for school and their dreams, then you are working. Do not be hard on yourself, if I was not working, I would have been a stay at home mom.  You are doing a great job for your family. 
Your goal of taking some online courses is a great idea.

Debbie- Thanks for the encourging words!! Most people think that since u are on help n stay home u r lazy n don't wanna work. It is not that I don't wanna work,it is cause I can't work. I would love to work to help with our bills so my man doesn't have to pay them all.
