Kind of a late start, but better than no start!

I am working today and the kids are back in school, beginning the second semester.  How exciting for them!

Not too much going on around here.  I think Liv and I will watch "Hairspray" tonight, but I was disappointed to find that the library does not have the original, just the newer one from a couple of years ago.  I have never seen it and she is interested so we will watch it.

I will be starting some beef short ribs for tomorrow's dinner tonight.  Not sure what to make tonight.  We just picked up a quarter of beef and the choices are endles!

Where is everyone today?! I'm not working today so I can have my final visit with my surgeon. Only 5 more days!!!!!! I found a buddy on this website who is also having surgery next tuesday and it's been a big help chatting with her. We exchanged phone numbers so we can text each other after to see how we are doing.

Should I be concerned that I'm not scared at all? Just so excited about the surgery!

I was very excited for my surgery.  I was like a kid at Christmas.  I had a few questionable fleeting moments the day before surgery and as I was being wheeled into surgery but they did not last long.  I was ready and never looked backed!  I would just say you are more than ready to embrace a new life!

We are in between appts at the moment and are taking advantage of that time by going to the grocery store and prefixing some of the food for the family party coming up at our house this Sunday.

Good afternoon all,
I am at work just waiting till 3:15 to go home.  Actually, I will not be going home I will be taking my 16yr old for his driving test.  Oh lord!!  I am exctied, scared, nervous and every other emotion a mom could be right now.  
As for myself, I am having a hard time with cravings.  Last night while out driving and doing errands I so terribly wanted a diet coke.  I know that is a no-no, but my mouth was screaming for one.  I never gave in but the urge is still there.  
Last night I tried some sugar free pudding.  This pudding was made with splenda.  What a horrible reaction I had.  Within minutes, I was so sick.  Has this happened to anyone else?

Hi, Better late then not.

I had to work alone today, my co-worker was off today, so I handled it myself. No big deal, have done it lots of times before.

I  went to Walmart after work today. Needed to get some ink for the printer. I am now home and going to do as little as possible.

Hello friends,

Well, I did it!  I called and made an appointment to see a doctor for my stomach.  I don't know what's going on, but I can't take this any more!  Is it possible that my stomach has gotten smaller and I need an unfill?  I haven't gotten a fill for over 2 years.  I've lost over 6 pounds in a month. (not a bad thing, but I'm losing in a way that I shouldn't!)  The only person that I could get into was a PA in the Hoffman office.  I go on Monday afternoon...I've never been so eager to go to a doctors appointment before!

I am seeing my surgeon today because for the past 2-3 weeks I have been having sharp pains when ever I swallow....even when I swallow saliva.  I'm not too tight though because I can eat with no problems...no PBing or throwing up.  I'm worried that I have a dilated esophagus.
