We actually have two free weight benches and one is in the house!  It is in the basement waiting for David to show me how to use it.  It has been waiting for a long time, but I WILL get on it!

Tell someone that you love them!

Good morning everyone!

Crystal-great job! And happy anniversary Lisa!

I slept with the watch wrist thing on last night. Or kind of slept. I was so worried it was going to fall off and they wouldn't let me have surgery that I didnt sleep well. Plus we have a newer kitten that loves to sleep on my neck and would not go away! So just say it was a rough night!

Shakes are getting harder. It's the 5th day and I'm hungry! I would love to eat some real food. Nothing bad, like a scrambled egg! Plus I was xmas in WI with the relatives and know they will have some of my favorite things there. HELP! Any suggestions?

Sunday is a lazy day. Picking up things around the house, laundry etc. Maybe a movie with the kids.

Enjoy your friday!

Oh the worst thing was all of the food commercials.  I never really paid much attention to them and don't now, but when I was doing my pre-op diet I was ready to lick the TV screen!!!

The thing that got me through my pre-op diet...this will sound silly...I got obsessed with the Twilight books.  To the point that I was coming home from work and reading right through till bedtime, every single night.  It took my mind off of food.  So I say try to find something that will make you forget about food.

Yes!  The commercials kill me!!!!!!  And I am going to bed early also.  It will be better when I'm at work next week with a set schedule.  This week I have been home a lot and probably bored.  But I am hungry!

 Hi Julie

I can sympathize with you on the kitten.  If you do not want him sleeping on your neck permanently, now is the time to break that habit!  One of my cats sleeps on my stomach, another grooms my hair all night long, another is beside me -- they all have their spots in bed.  I cant stand the grooming but do not catch it always and have never been able to break that habit.

My saving grace during the liquid diet was two things -- hot tea and sugar free popcicles.  I still indulge in the popcicles.  I think I need to get stock in the company.  Whenever I get the urge to eat, I grab a popcicle.  It satisfies my craving for chewing and takes away the food desires.

I love that he sleeps by me, but some nights it's too much.  I can't say that I want to break the habit either

Popsicles are a great idea!!!!!!!!  Thanks!

I am at work and it feels like it should be 3pm already. I have finished counting (some of it hand counted) all the data for the 3 different bosses end of year reports. I also just finished some meeting minutes that I needed to get out to the members of my records managers group. Now I am ready for lunch as my tummy is growling.

Not much for the evening except to go for a walk after work and then walk down to a local restaurant for din din.

Tomorrow it is a Whole Foods run for some bulk items like Quinoa and wild rice. Funny, we can tolerate wild rice but not white or non bleached rice. Then it is off to Costco to review what the store is like before we buy a membership there and dump our Sam's membership.

Hi! TGIF. My daughter is back at boarding school, and I'm all caught up at work. So, this weekend will be the deconstruction of Xmas decor, writing my New Years letters to old friends (I'm chronically two weeks behind on all things), and constructing my 2-week food plan for my current post-op “regular food" phase (1200 cal, 100 g protein/day). Plus, exercising both Saturday and Sunday.

 Also in the works:

- a stall. hoping to use exercise and calorie-reduction to break it (too many holiday sweets!)

- setting up a home exercise area

- logging my old and new blood test results (so I can track them)

- restarting iron & vite C pills (and doing my damndest to avoid constipation from the iron)

- digging up all my old 1X winter clothes as I’ve grown out of 3X as well as a lot of 2Xs

- scheduling all my 2011 WLS support group meetings in my calendar

Congrats to all on weight loss, anniversary, and all the other good stuff!
