Friday Roll Call
Hello everyone
I am at work...they didn't give us the day off!!! I came in and no one was here. I nthis huge building with a dozen companies, we are the only company working today in this whole building. Oh Ba Hum Bug to the company president.
Driving to work was nice too because everyone is off, so no one is on the road. I am liking the thunderstorm...but tomorrow it will all be ice. So I am thinking I am going to stay in this weekend.
Today I am going out with a group of friends for New Years. It will be lots of fun!!!
I weighed in today and lost two more pounds...woohoo!!! I am getting closer and closer to 199...it seems so untouchable. If I get to 199 it will be like winning the lottery.
I hope everyone will have a more exciting day going on than I do. Have a great day.

Happy New Years to everyone. My exciting day today will be spent doing housework and going out to dinner. I am sure we will be home by 9 or so, so Hubert can go to bed. So, I will watch the new year come in by myself.
I have gotten the house de-Christmastized. Now all I need to do is take everything to the basement. Hubert had brought all of the totes up yesterday. Now that the snow is gone, we can take the outside decorations down too. One of mt pet peeves is that people leave them up way after the 1st of the year. I know some towns have rules about that.
No other plans for the weekend as yet.
If you are going out tonight, please be careful. There are way to many idiots out having a "good time".

I am up and rolling but not too fast yet. We will be out the door soon to Caputo's and Sam's. We need a couple things from both places. We also want to walk through Sam's and take down prices of things we buy on a regular basis because we are thinking of changing our membership over to Costco. I contacted Costco and was told that we can walk through their warehouse and tour it to see what they have to offer. We used to be members of both places (back when more money was coming in) but we cannot remember that much about their products that they sell.
Tree is coming down this weekend because we have a lot going on later in Jan. Lisa, we are one of those people that like to keep the tree up until the middle of Jan. We buy a Fraser Fur and they last for 6 weeks. We like to just have the tree lit when sitting in the dark. We also keep our fake tree up in the 3 season room year round and do the same thing out there during the summer. It has a nice glow in the room because the walls are a shiny white surface and the lights reflect off of them. I might leave the two strings of lights that I have around the mail box and little light house in the front until summer because it is pretty when it snows.

Good morning cyber friends!!
Happy New Years eve to all. I am sitting here at home thinking how yucky it looks outside. I miss the snow already!
For today I need to take my son to pick up his tux. He is going to a formal Sweet 16 b-day party on the 2nd. I can not believe the money going out for one of those. My son's 16th consisted of a few friends over, a bonfire in the fire pit, some grilled dogs and burgers and just plain fun. This young lady who is having the formal party had invitations made with her picture in them and all. I think she has watched to much MTV "My Sweet 16". I already told my daughter not to get any ideas.
Today I am also going to pick up a couple pair of jeans I am getting from a fellow freecycler. I just can spend money yet. I may even go to the local thrift store to buy a pair or two. My tops are fine, I had many that were too tight, but the pants need to be replaced.
Other than that, I am staying home. My daughter plans to be online chatting with family and friends tonight, my son is going to a weekend party at a friends cabin, about 5 teenage boys and his parents, and hubby and i staying warm at home. I refuse to drive out there anymore on New Years.

Crystal, I too am at work. I have had a total of 5 phone calls today. Usually I will have that many in 10 - 15 minutes. Need I say I am extremely bored?
I for one am glad to see the ground appear. I was sick of looking at snow. It may be pretty but it was so deep and I was so tired of being reminded of how much snow we have had. I would rather start the new year off fresh not add to the piles that are already there.
I am planning on going to my sister's tomorrow providing it is not a skating rink outside.
