Do what you think is good for YOU.  I take WAY more than my nutritionist/doctors recommend and my labs show it.  I do not believe in "fine".

Iron and B-Complex is recommended for all as far as I have ever read.

At four years out, my last labs were great, with a Ferriitin of 196.  At 6 months out, I was down to 26 and told I would "never absorb iron----you will need infusions 2-3 times per year for life."  I found my own iron regimen and proved them wrong.

Tell someone that you love them!

Welcome "home".

Let me put my thinking cap on regarding the diet plan and see what I can come up with for suggestions.

My Dave has a lot of problems with constipation also. He takes Metamusil (sp?) but was suggested by his gastro doc to use Miralax as it is supposed to be better. It does not seem to help.

My doctor's supplement regime is: adult multi with iron, B-Complex and Calcium Citrate (twice a day). I do not take the multi with iron because I buy my multi without iron and Vit K for Dave because he is on Coumadin. I take a seperate iron, Vit D, Omega 3 and B-12.

Out of curiosity what exactly is the "1st year out, regular diet"? This way the rest of us longer POs can read what it is and give our input as to what we follow.

 Good Afternoon Everyone!

I am home and chilling for the evening.  Work was slow again today and I got sprung about 2pm!
Much better than twiddling my thumbs.  I finished some paperwork for my neurosurgeon appointment tomorrow before I left.  Somehow my cats always want to 'Help" me and that never works with paperwork.

It actually seemed warm this afternoon when I left work.  The snow was melting and I was thinking  YES!!!

It will be interesting what the neurosurgeon says tomorrow, if anything.  I just want relief from pain.  I am so tired of hurting and am falling more often.  Not fun.  My trusty cane is becoming my friend again when I am out and about.  My freedom was oh so short.

Tomorrow is hump day and halfway through the week!  have a great day!

I hope all your holidays were better than mine. I caught the flu from hell. Started back on the 22nd with awful laryngitis which made me sound like some demented obscene caller, than on the 24th hit my upper respitory tract with the force of a truck. Normally I am not ever one to nap or slow down (ADD adult! ha-ha)
But I was on my back and bed ridden and unconscious for like 3 days straight. It was a really bad flu. Hadn't had one in over 5 years. (And I had the flu shot this year and am even off my immunosupressive and chemotherapy drugs! Argh!)
Well...It seems to be on the way out now. I actually dragged my carcass to teh gym and did a half assed work out after being "off" for over a week. Managed a 25 minute pack walk with the dogs as well.
Hope your holidays were nicer than mine!
Warmly,.
Jackie
